Whenever parents approached Bhagat Jaswant Singh Ji about their children, one of the things Bhagat Ji would always say is sit with your child and do whatever you want to do with them rather then telling them. They would say sit with your child and read Gareebi Pothi. 

Another thing Bhagat Ji would always tell parents who would come to complain about their children is that ਮੇਰੇ friend ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕੈਤ ਨਹੀ ਕਰਨੀ (that don't complain about your children). Rather, become their support!
