Unchilled Temper

I'm at the shore. Music is circling in my ears. Friendly people, I catch a few hispanic words, barely dressed sexy chicks are crossing my path. Plashing water, the sun burns while a refreshing sip of water is running down my throat. Laziness extending, contentment.

After we caught a glimpse of the first warm sunbeams of late winter and early spring in Eastern Europe and Germany, we move straight to the wide and warm shores of Argentina's capital Buenos Aires.

As Argentina is located on the southern hemisphere, the temperature isn't too hot at the moment, though - it's already late autumn here and July will be the coldest month of the year, which is quite hard to imagine for people in the northern hemisphere.

Nevertheless, the temper of South American culture seems to be never tempering and the Argentinian autumn brings us music as hot as European summer days.

klectik 010 is the ear pleasing "Little Talk" EP from Buenos Aires based artist, Gurtz. This is the second project for him on the Chicago - based label, following up the very successful Lotus / Brainbow vinyl release (with Dilo). The EP sees Gurtz furthering, developing and exploring his sound. The title track harkens back to an old-school Chicago acid house vibe, while at the same time maintaining a modern feel with disjointed melodies, plush vocals, and clean and crisp production. "On the Roof" features another injection of house infused tones with detuned pads that throb throughout the track which are carried along by a "tracky" beat. Beretta artist Christina Chatfield delivers a powerful remix that strikes a beautiful balance between the more rawer sounds of techno on the lower end with more sultry sounds on top featuring blissful keys working hand in hand with the vocal from the original.

Bio: For a good decade now has been Gonzalo Urtizberea (a.k.a. Gurtz) incarnating his creative potential into diverse beeps, bleeps, twists and tweaks. Having evolved from a classically trained pianist to the world famous electronic music producer/dj.

In the recent years he rocked best dancefloors and festivals of Europe and Both Americas (Watergate/Berlin, Fuse/Brussels, Moog/Barcelona, Nouveau Casino/Paris, Toy Club/Stuttgart, Avalon/Los Angeles, Overground Festival/Geneva or Minitek Festival/NYC) and has been releasing his tracks on well-known labels, such as Eimaleins, Igloo, lesizmo:r, Unfoundsound, Dumb Unit, Lomidhigh and Telegraph, to name a few.

Creative and collaborative, he has remixed and been remixed by such techno stars as Dandy Jack, Ryan Crosson, Mark Henning, Seph, Dapayk, Ambivalent, Franco Cinelli, Agaric, etc, and his bright dj sets as well as his live performances have gained the artist passionate affection of numerous fans everywhere from his home land Argentina all the way to Eastern Europe. 

Within his most recent project under the aliases of Gonzales, he ventured off towards eclectic synergy of rythmic house with melancholic, thoughtful and eternal epic melodies.
