Alan Wood singer songwriter was asked to make a song for the 1866 disasters that happened at the Oaks Colliery, near Stairfoot, Barnsley, West Riding of Yorkshire, England, and he came up with this. Not only did he do his research into what had happened but he himself knew of family members who were there at the time. Alan Wood is a local guy who is also one of the most genuine people I've met in a long time. Easy to get on with and a pleasure to work with.
