I took this mix and played it at night on a beach in Tofino Canada with both my daughters...we we witnessed the beauty of the milky way, every time I hear this mix it takes me right back to that magical time and place... 💗

An absolutely incredible evening at the foot of Mont Orgueil aka Gorey Castle in Gorey, Jersey. One of my favourite ever sets, the energy in the air was just magical, everybody was having such a great time; a really mixed crowd reflected in the range of music I ended up playing! I love the challenge of trying to engage everybody at an event like that, aged 16 to 60+... the first time I'd played after dark for a long time! When the fog rolled in it was still really warm, epic scenes as the floodlight from the pier reflected on Mother Nature's amazing smoke machine as seen in the cover pic (thank you Lorraine for the amazing photos!!). Just couldn't stop grinning from ear to ear! Big thanks to Jason & Nick for organising 🙏🙌. 

For the lucky ones who were there in person, thank you for coming and for all the great energy you brought; ended up playing a lot longer than planned because of you, hope you enjoy listening back! 

For everybody else, you really had to be there but you can listen back too - hope you enjoy it! 😊 x

Gus F - Live from Mont Orgueil

Gus F is a musician, producer and DJ based on the beautiful island of Jersey. Gus won the global Sasha / Last Night On Earth DJing competition with a popular breaks mix just before the Covid pandemic sent the world into lockdown. He has been busy with productions, mixes and events since; dreaming up and broadcasting Secret Sunset to showcase new music at iconic locations around the beautiful island of Jersey and producing popular bootleg remixes from the likes of Kate Bush, London Grammar and Billie Eilish. Gus's first signed remix reached #1 on Beatport in the Electronica genre; a deep house version of Darkersound's "Through The Night" on Stripped Recordings. A number of other remixes were signed to Emotional Content and Music To Die For in late 2021. A massive remix of Bronski Beat's iconic Smalltown Boy was finally released in summer 2022 with Jimmy Somerville's blessing, almost 2 years and 1 million streams after a bootleg version was first aired at Secret Sunset.
