Me and Bot had a little time in the studio together to make some music, amongst other things. One of the tracks we made ( Yes, this is a hint that there are more coming... ) is called “Country Business”. Definitely influenced by Belgian New-Beat, which I worship, we managed to meet in the middle of our genres and make something that both of us can relate to yet sounding different than anything me or him ever did. So if you like New-Beat and 808...

Arno E. Mathieu is back for the 3rd release on his journey of CONTEMPLATION on Compost Records, and it’s all about a Cyclades Island musical spirit.
Once again, as a tribute to the Mediterranean culture and landscape, this new piece of music is a cinematic mix of percussive rhythms, catchy bass line and aerial melodies, taking the form of a walk through the island’s paths and seaside.
Starting with deep & abstract voices and ghostly guitars, INSULAE shortly turns to a sunny balearic expression with percussions and fresh synth, over-flied with dreamy guitars. The bass line then comes to support the bongo pattern, just before an anthemic melody introducing a synthetic voice them that shows us the road until a cliff over the Aegean sea.
As a guest remixer in this Cyclades wandering, the renowned and talented french producer I:Cube stays true to the original vibe, but adding a twist of deepness and modernity with dub effects and drum machine, staying focus on the main elements and driving the track untill an opened and unlighted mood, making the original percussions rolling till the end of the progression.

The Forever album was "almost" ready in the spring of 2004.  But then it was not.  Three years later it was finally released.  Couple of demos on the "almost" ready version in 2004 where never finished for the release in 2007.  This is one of them.

Berlin based Pardon Moi, consisting of James Brook and Thomas Freudenthal, makes music that would fit perfect as a soundtrack for a ride in a Ferrari GTO convertible, or on a transatlantic flight on a Concorde. Unfortunately, vintage Ferraris are ridiculously expensive and Concords are taken out of flight but still the music creates an air of luxury and decadence for you to fill your lungs and air with.

Pardon Moi’s sound is warm, creative, uplifting and retro thanks to the use of analogue synthesisers. These take on a big role on both tracks, Power To The People/Touch 2 Much. Electro, synth pop, and electronic disco has influenced the duo’s sound on this 7”.  The musical direction is toward the future ,to a utopia built on a world where the 90s never happened. This is retro futuristic dance music, but the music don’t stop with being only nostalgic but holds qualities that would make any actor within any scene of modern electronic dance music envy.

BIO:
The Icelandic band Gus Gus originally spawned from a shortcut made by Siggi Kjartansson and Stefán Árni (a.k.a. Arni & Kinski) called “Pleasure”. Initially the band was acclaimed as an avant-garde collective of musicians, producers, filmmakers and performers. They mixed together different mediums to create a unique mixture of sound and vision. Their trademark style is combined with funky bass, streamlined synths and the intelligent use of technology and art. Árni & Kinski did the visual part and the musical side was driven by Birgir Þórarinsson (a.k.a. Veiran), Stephan Stephenssen (a.k.a President Bongo), Magnús Guðmundsson (a.k.a. Herb Legowitz). The live band was fronted by singers Daníel Ágúst, Hafdís Huld and Magnús Jónsson (a.k.a. Blake).

Gus Gus is an electronic soul band formed in 1995. A short break in a making of the shortcut made it possible for the first Gus Gus self-titled album to be born. In 1996 the band signed to 4AD Records that released their widely acclaimed second album “Polydistortion”. "This Is Normal" followed in 1999 and finally "Gus Gus vs T-World" appeared in 2000. During the 4AD years, Gus Gus started touring massively, stirring the music world with their powerful live-show. The touring life was stressful for the nine some and eventually called for changes within the line up. Six original members left and the three remaining producers (Veiran, President Bongo and Herb Legowitz) soon found hope in a new female singer, Earth aka Urður Hákonardóttir. The band has ever since focused on being a musical entity. 

In 2002 Gus Gus re-appeared with their 4th studio album "Attention" which includes their most successful dance floor hit “David”. On the album the band teamed up with the legendary producer Gareth Jones and Finnish multi-instrumentalist Jimi Tenor.
