Big love to everyone who has been liking/sharing/listening to Vol.1 of the mix series! We are very excited to be showcasing artists who will be performing at Feral M.F 2022, as thats what this mix series was designed to do!

Lil Stitious is one of the co - founders of the festival, while also being the mastermind  behind our visual aesthetics! She also designed the website(With help from Jake <3), and has been working tirelessly behind closed doors on hours of the nitty gritty stuff that makes this party what it is! Hudson is a bass music enthusiast – Dedication to Drum N Bass and Jungle Meets a critical taste for Halftime Beats, forward thinking Bass and UK Grime. The black sheep of the Nelson based Lost Boys collective, and a driving force behind the 3-year monthly FERSHURSDAY at Shambhala's Bloom night club. Furthermore YETZ is the west Kootenay contingent of the Fernie based Kootenay Junglist Movement, founder of 44-STEPS, and a part of a new renegade project, Turncoat Productions. Proving himself worthy along the way with his unique selections and dedication to the music.

Wicked Woods was honestly the best festival I attended this summer.  From the intimate vibes while still being such a party.  Seeing a lot of homies who are all so insanely talented get a chance to really shine in front of a crowd.  Making new connections and leaving inspired and with new plans to push our community forward.  I couldn't be happier.

Thanks for everyone who came to my set, that was a party!  Excited to have a bit of a break and focus on making some new tunes for y'all!

As a child I spent hours by myself playing on my grandfathers Casio synthesizer. I found it fascinating how different tones played in different patterns created different feelings. I begged my mother for a saxophone but she couldn’t afford one so I got a tiny plastic dollar store one instead. She told me if I mastered the plastic one I could get the real thing. It was months until I realized that she just couldn't afford it, so I sadly hung up the plastic saxophone. In Jr High, band class was too full for me to join. Because I missed the first year I wasn’t able to join for the rest of secondary school. This made me believe fate had prevented me from ever learning music and it just wasn’t meant for me. I held this belief my whole life, all while being deeply connected to and building a life around music.

It wasn't until my grandfather passed away and left me his Casio synthesizer that I was reminded of the pure curiosity and fascination driving me this whole time. So I challenged my beliefs and started to break down the barriers I had created. My experiments with music soon began to flow more easily and I started to produce pieces I was actually proud of. I now look at my lack of traditional training as what has kept my childlike wonder alive. When I sit down to produce music it is with a curiosity and wonder with how emotions and stories can be captured in a sequence of sounds. Without holding myself back I let myself have fun and give it the gustoe💦
