Gusto bring edgy electronic music to the UAE for the first time.

Dubai finally gets some electronic pop coolness of its own in the shape of new  band Gusto. Despite having such mainstream appeal, there have been no live acts to satisfy local demand for original electronic grooves - until now. 
 
Formed in 2016 by one of Dubai's most prominent front men Richard Kennedy, the British born Singer/Guitarist turned to the most in demand musicians to execute his vision of bringing credible, commercial music to the city. Finnish synth virtuoso and composer Mikko Heininen joined the fold, along with Brits Nigel Owen on Bass and Drummer Tim Burnell - one of the city's most notorious rhythm sections. 
 
Gusto offer well crafted, radio-friendly songs, with soulful vocals layered over cool synths and pumping grooves. The band's first release was launched worldwide on May 30th at Jazz@PizzaExpress where the full 6-piece line up gave an intimate performance to a full house.
