What Good Comes out of the Gutter is a song intended to spark hope within those individuals that come from impoverished areas.  The song also challenges families, politicians, and people of every ethnicity and culture to unify for the sake of loving one another.  It tells the story of those that came out of the gutter; and provides hope for those that are negatively impacted by their neighborhoods and communities.

A native of Grand Rapids, MI, Delvyn has performed his poetry/songs at churches, state correctional facilities, outreaches, various schools, (public, private, & alternative), university's, annual festivals, youth camps, entertainment clubs, non-profit organizations, funerals, family gatherings, and open mics. Delvyn most notable performance took place before a crowd of 10,000 at the US Cellular Arena in Milwaukee, WI, when he opened up for Christian Evangelist Josh McDowell; during the time he was with his former group the Dredknox. 

Delvyn brings a conscious feel to his listeners, and even though he's able to convey messages about love, unity, and wisdom; it doesn't withhold him from bringing lyrics that are upbeat and entertaining. His deepest, heartfelt lyrics can be heard over soulful production; in which his distinctive cadence, writing style, and storytelling capabilities have been known to ignite those who may have lost heart.
