5 Years of Nerang !!!!
Based in Queensland, Australia, Nerang Recordings has put out music from Interplanetary Criminal, Subjoi, DJ Swagger, DJ Bowlcut, J. Albert, Cassettes For Kids, and many more since its inception in 2016. Reaching five years of the imprint, head honcho Dj Whipr Snipr curates the second ‘Freaky Friends’ compilation, featuring contributions from a host of label associates and hotly tipped producers for six fast-paced, heavy-hitting tracks
 
Leading the release, Shall Not Fade and E-Beamz affiliate DJ Swagger’s ‘Hoticewater’ blends deep oscillations with skipping breaks and shimmering pads, with Low Tape’s ‘So Delicious’ following, keeping the energy high. 
Striking vocals meet trippy FX and electro-tinged drum patterns across the track, a continuation of the DJ/producer’s releases on the likes of X-Kalay and Of Paradise. 
Fresh off the back of their recent ‘Sportsgoth’ EP, Brazil’s Nørus and Dj Whipr Snipr collide once more on ‘Molecular Collision’, bringing classic 808 kits, acid lines, and squelchy synthesisers together. 

Classic electro sounds meet modern production techniques on LA-based Ole Mic Odd’s ‘In The House’, as robotic vocal lines meet heavy arps. Ramping up the tempo, Berlin-based Nasty Enterprises boss Nasty King Kurl returns to the label with a fast and powerful off-kilter jam, leaning on freaked out vocals and tough percussion. 
Rounding out the release, Cologne’s Turk Turkelton offers up ‘Offenbachs Father’, delivering a track complete with razor-sharp drum workout and expressive synth work.

Nr. 1:  UNIIQU3 - UNIIQU3´s  Groove (Get Down)
For the last 2 weeks this track has been running on a continuous loop. Good vibes at it’s best! I was absolutely overwhelmed by the energy which Uniqu3 was displaying in her Boiler Room as well as in the b2b with Partyboi69. Awesome vocals and the ballroom beat cap off my excitement perfectly.

Nr. 2: Cameo Blush - Clearcutter
The next gem is called “Clearcutter”, was released on the stunning EP “In Cadence” and has that special mix of epic earworm melody and terrific breaks. The bulky bassline is managing to bring back the harmony between both contrasts. For me it is one of those sunrise tracks.

Nr. 3: HeatRaw - Tried It Once
Number 3 was released recently on one of my favorite electro labels Your Character. HeatRaw always excels in building absolutely huge electro bangers and this one does not fall short either. Dirty acid line, booming kicks, a dark bass line and a very cool vocal chop - nothing more needed.

Nr. 4: Alien Slum - Flees
Oof, this one absolutely slaps. The kick is monstrous - paired with 2 crunchy acid melodies and my heart leaps for joy. Very addictive track and a must have for my acid electro collection.

Nr. 5: Equus- Unstoppable
Last but not least, my current favorite track: Equus’ newly released EP “Under the Hammer” is a gem for every breakbeat and electro aficionado. The best track on this EP and my personal perfect closing track for every party is “Unstoppable”. It’s buildup has an undeniable epicness to it and the closing melody gets me every time. Definitely listen to this one until the very end!

We once again took advantage of Halle’s thriving scene and invited DJ duo China Shipping Line to join us for our next episode!
Walter Perlitz and ileyf are not only playing very diverse and well selected sets, which originate from 8 years of mixing together, but also produce their own tracks. Born and raised in Weimar they soon moved to Halle and started to organize parties in and around Saale City, which naturally led to their own event series HD1A at local club Charles Bronson in 2018.
We are very happy to finally welcome these two guys, as we talked about it since the beginning of our show! Prepare for 2 hours of vibes - ranging from House & Techno to Breakbeat & Ambient.
