אדם סנדלר נולד ב-9 בספטמבר 1966 בברוקלין, ניו יורק, למשפחה אמריקנית-יהודית. בילדותו הוריו עברו לניו המפשייר, שם גם התחנך.
לקראת סוף שנות ה-80 שיחק בתפקיד משני בסדרה משפחת קוסבי, ומאוחר יותר הופיע בתפקידי אורח בשעשועון "שלט רחוק" בMTV. בתחילת שנות ה-90 הופיע במועדוני סטנד אפ בבוסטון, ועד מהר גילה אותו הקומיקאי דניס מילר והמליץ עליו מיד למפיקי התוכנית סטרדיי נייט לייב, שם התחיל לכתוב ומאוחר יותר להופיע כשחקן וכזמר עד 1995. ב-1993 שיחק בסרטו הגדול הראשון "רוקנ'רול באוויר" לצד סטיב בושמי וברנדן פרייזר. שנה לאחר מכן כיכב בתפקיד ראשי בסרט "בילי מדיסון" שהוא עצמו יצר, ואף הכניס את סטיב בושמי בהופעת אורח. בשנה שלאחר מכן יצר סרט נוסף בשם "האפי גילמור" המדבר על שחקן הוקי קרח שהופך לשחקן גולף.
בשנת 1998 כיכב בסרט "זמר החתונות" לצד דרו ברימור. ובאותה שנה כיכב גם בסרט "נער המים". בשנת 1999 כיכב בסרט "ביג דדי" שהיה להצלחה גדולה בכל העולם. בשנת 2002 שיחק לראשונה בתפקיד ראשי בסרט שאינו קומדיה, בסרט "מוכה אהבה" של פול תומאס אנדרסון. סנדלר זכה לשבחים רבים על משחקו בסרט (למרות שהסרט נכשל בקופות), ואף היה מועמד לפרס "גלובוס הזהב" לשחקן הטוב ביותר.
בשנת 2003 כיכב בסרט "סדנה לעצבים" לצד ג'ק ניקולסון. סנדלר היה מועמד לשחק את הדמות "וילי וונקה" בסרט "צ'ארלי בממלכת השוקולד" אך זה הגיע לג'וני דפ. בשנת 2004 כיכב בסרט 50 דייטים ראשונים (ביחד עם דרו ברימור), בשנת 2005 השתתף והפיק את הסרט משחק מכור ובשנת 2006 השתתף בסרט קליק - לזפזפ את החיים אותו כתב והפיק. סרט זה היה הראשון שבו לקח חלק והיה מועמד לפרס אוסקר. בשנת 2007 השתתף בסרט הדרמטי "שמור עלי" המספר על אדם שאיבד את משפחתו בפיגועי 11 בספטמבר והתמודדותו עם האירועים.

There seems to be a lot of fingers pointing at Mona Vie these days, and it’s pretty much all negative. However, could it be that the people getting involved are simply not applying themselves? The next concern is that you have to pay an upfront fee in order to become a distributer. So, you have to invest, not knowing if you will even see that money back or how long you will continue to earn from. Yes, a lot of MLM programs require an upfront fee, but they are also a little more transparent with their system. If you own a gym in a small town, you could be that 1 percent that makes a killing with this program. Otherwise, you are better to get involved with a network marketing opportunity that is a little safer, reaches a broader audience and that you can continue to earn from for years.
