'The twentieth release of the avant-garde Malta-based label run by Guy J feels like an opportunity to take another step further into an endless exploration of forward-thinking sound. Subandrio delivers a three-part conceptual twenty-minute piece combining deep and edgy electronica with an almost spiritual attitude. It's an abstract audio story where every sound effect becomes a factor in a secret equation resulting in a new sonic formula. The long history of electronic music makes it extremely difficult to bring something new to the table, but this profound material manages to deliver. Every track manages to achieve a meditative state of mind by juggling abstract emotions and transcending the existing paradigms.'

Guy J's music is always touched with a magic and emotion that few rival. Forever drawing influence from contrasting styles, genres and concepts, he has become synonymous with creating innovative and out-of-the-box productions. 

Adhering to that ethos, his new West On Mars 4-track EP for Bedrock embraces his innate ability to produce tracks of the highest stature, and underlines why for so many people around the world, Guy Js music is uniquely joyous, uplifting, intelligent and beautiful. There can be no doubt that he is one of the standout electronic artists of today. 

West On Mars opens proceedings with its plethora of intricate rhythmic elements, expansive melodic hooks and spiralling acidic overtones. All fused perfectly in an eternally developing journey like no other. In contrast, Why Are You Here turns up the funk factor with a superbly squelchy hip-swinging groove, overlaid with flawlessly infectious melodic motifs. The energetic On The Go buzzes with a swarm of intricate elements, creating a soaring, hypnotic masterpiece. Finally, the smooth, mesmerizing, dubbed-out subtleties of Temperament complete what is another impeccable package from Guy J and Bedrock.

Having released D-Nox &amp; Beckers&#8217; Distance album in May 2011, Christian Smith&#8217;s Tronic label have assembled an impressive cast of talent for this two-part remix package which will bridge the label&#8217;s release schedule as 2011 ends and 2012 begins. Bringing together names from techno, tech house and progressive, this collection of reworks not only reflects the broad music styling of the original album but also embodies the wide genre range across which Tronic has come to operate as it seamlessly blends deep, tough, melodic and percussive flavours.

Part Two of the remix collection ups the ante a notch or two with eye widening reworks from four of the most respected producers of 2011. Bushwacka! leads off the charge, fresh from his headline grabbing work for Plus 8 and Intec, to give &#8216;You Are&#8217; a shuffling, deep bass twist. Santos delivers a tense and energetic rework of &#8216;Follow Me&#8217;, bristling with percussive sexiness and exotic chants. Bedrock&#8217;s Guy J works up his magic with a deep and dream like version of &#8216;I Will Rise&#8217;. While Uto Karem shows exactly why he has been one of the most hyped names of the year with his remix of &#8216;What I Have&#8217;. There is also space for a re-issue of Christian Smith&#8217;s remix of &#8216;My Voice&#8217; as well as an alternative dub version of Dustin Zahn&#8217;s remix of &#8216;Sunner&#8217;.

D-Nox & Beckers - I Will Rise (Guy J Remix) [Tronic]

Guy J makes a much anticipated return to Sudbeat for the first time sinks his 2009 "Pleasurety" ep. The Bedrock artist is one of the most consistent and productive artists of today and 2011 was yet another bumper year for the Israeli. At the close of the year we were treated to "Meridian" his co-production with Henry Saiz on Bedrock, his remix of Sian's "Sacred Geography" on Octopus and his stunning "Soul Of Arp" release on Funk D'Void's Outpost Recordings. Having already kicked of 2012 with a bumper remix package for Bedrock, we find Guy already in blistering form. His latest double-header for Sudbeat kicks off with "High," a powerful techie uplifting number that grooves throughout and, whilst it does tempt us with a 'take off', the track teasingly never peaks. Cocoon artist Marc Marzenit however, shoots us into the stratosphere. Building the intensity throughout his mix, its powerful drums and dramatic melody create an arena rocking moment. Guy's second original "Pathos" is a wonderfully warm and atmospheric number. Sweeping strings and staccato melody give a warm and euphoric feeling. Bringing a similar feeling with his warping baseline and dreamy melody is Sudbeat artist Luis Junior.

For its third release, Labyrinth Music was able to sign Dave Brody. This under-the-radar producer has gained much respect in the national as well as international music scene. He is known for meticulously crafting his compositions into a groove driven, old school sound.  Dave Brody's original mix of "Eclipse" starts with a solid, jacking beat. Those initials will immediately give the game away to anyone who is a fan of exciting, forward-thinking electronic dance music, as 3 of its most talented exponents have ganged up for a studio session and cast a musical spell that is nothing short of extraordinary.

Fresh from his exceptional remix of the classic Circulation track Turquoise (Mesmeric), and brand new track Genesis coming on Sven Vaths Cocoon later in June, who else but the melodic maestro - Guy J - could be the perfect creative studio partner for John Digweed and Nick Muir, producers of the finest electronic dance music, who have been involved in many pivotal moments in the world of club music over the years and have in many ways helped to define genres &amp; push the boundaries ever further forward?

As with all their releases, TREZZZ shows that no one is resting on past laurels but always developing their sound in an exciting direction.
