After countless hours immersed in the machinery of creation, Liozen made a splash last year with a debut on a VA release. But here's the scoop: we're now dropping his very first solo single release. This two-track masterpiece is practically a sonic fingerprint of Liozen's personality. 

Picture this: bold grooves, massive kicks, rolling basslines that hit you right in the gut. The beats take you on a rollercoaster, with epic breaks that catapult you to higher realms. And let's not forget those melodies - they're like sticky notes for your mind, lingering long after the music fades. 

Liozen's debut release is nothing short of a powerhouse. These tracks are etched in memory, and we're not just talking DJs here - this is a must-listen for every music lover out there.

Clubsonica Records opens the fall season by welcoming Bemannte & Bruder back to the label for a new EP. Hailing from Ireland, the Bemannte & Bruder duo first emerged in 2021 with a series of releases via longstanding UK imprint Stripped Recordings. Armed with a timeless progressive sound, Bemannte & Bruder were immediately tipped as a name to watch. Clubsonica has also become a comfortable home for the duo, with an EP and remix project released across the last twelve months. Now, following last years well received ‘Amongst the Stars' EP, Bemannte & Bruder make a welcome return to Clubsonica with ‘Summer Nights', alongside remixes from Antrim and Gux Jimenez. 

Noted for their timeless style, it is the title selection which leads the release off and only furthers that narrative. Tight kick drums and neatly manicured percussion provide a DJ friendly intro, as rippling bass tones and airy pads add depth and character. Cruising effortlessly across the first act, it's a panoramic arp which eventually steals the air, flowing through tasteful modulation while pushing energy into the main break. The duo's elusive vision shines across the interlude, as they maintain a perfect balance of emotive musicality with a tasteful sense of space, a contrast which an astute dancefloor will appreciate, before smoothly shifting gears into a kaleidoscopic finale. Selection two 'Mindbender' finds Bemannte & Bruder showcasing a more adventurous side of their repertoire. Once again created with pristine production quality, it's a free-flowing exchange of punchy grooves, percolating arps and clustered synth mutations which provide a sturdy backbone. The main break proves to be the highlight however, elevating mood through further modulation and astral artifacts, all while maintaining an underlying sense of flow for a wonderfully warped conclusion. Rounding out the three originals are the alluring qualities of 'Bigger Than Us', a track where the duo aims squarely at a melodic dancefloor. Bemannte & Bruder craft an aesthetic that is hopeful, groovy and undeniably musical, one that balances a loud-soft dynamic perfectly. Following a driving first act, it's an amalgamation of billowed piano's and holographic synths which co-ax beautifully across the break, before reverent textures meet explosive beats and swing heavy basslines for a retro-radiant finale.

Returning to the label for the lone interpretation of ‘Summer Nights' is Antrim. In what has been a storied career, Antrim has been prolific across the first three quarters of 2024. The Hernan Cattaneo supported ‘La Fin Du Monde' and ‘Meeting Point' would get the year underway in style, a release which found the Cordoba resident returning to Clubsonica, where he carries a long creative partnership. Now, Antrim returns to Clubsonica with an emotive take on ‘Summer Nights'. The Cordoba resident shows a deft hand and a strong sense of personality, as warm kick drums and fluid rhythms become smudged by sweeping sonics and emerging melodies. A light and airy first act, one which sets up a break of rolling pianos and wistful sonics, to carry out what is sure to be a rejuvenating dancefloor experience.

The release concludes with Gux Jimenez with the lone interpretation of ‘Bigger Than Us'. Hailing from Colombia, Gux Jimenez has been a fixture of his country's electronic music movement for over a decade. Best known for his emotive take on the progressive genre, he has showcased his music via trendsetting landing spots such as Mango Alley,, UV and his own OzLand imprint, while earning support from world class DJs Above & Beyond and Armin Van Buuren. Now, Gux returns to Clubsonica with a creative rendition of ‘Bigger Than Us'. Opting for a techier and more stripped down take on the track, Gux further fragments the main motifs over a bed of tough beats, timely vocal samples and metallic melodies, for a less musically dominant, yet equally engaging version that's perfect for the more daring dancefloors out there.

Plaisirs Sonores Records, the innovative label helmed by Hicky & Kalo, is thrilled to unveil its latest release, the Endgame EP by Brazilian duo Anonimat, featuring a collaboration with the great Argentinian producer Nicolas Viana. This remix breathes fresh life into the original, bridging organic elements with progressive finesse and setting a compelling tone that will resonate with fans of introspective yet danceable music.

Guy J continues to redefine the boundaries with his Early Morning label, a space dedicated to showcasing forward -thinking artists whose creativity defies conventions. Among these is French producer Sébastien Léger, whose latest two -track release exemplifies his penchant for innovation and mastery of sound design.

The opening track, Koi Fish, delves into Leger's inner world, displaying his exceptional sound design skills. Sébastien Léger - Gaufrette

Eichenbaum, the Argentinean producer known for his melodic prowess, has been steadily building a catalogue of tracks that ooze style. Following on from his standout 2023 EP on Balance Music, Eichenbaum drops another gem that’s already turning heads: a progressive anthem backed by remixes from some of the scene’s most promising rising talent.

Sweden’s EMPHI flips the script with a remix that’s dripping in groove. The tempo feels seductive, anchored by a bassline that swings like it’s got something to prove. Add in a kick drum big enough to swallow the dance floor, and you’ve got a certified weapon. EMPHI’s treatment of the original melody is subtle yet impactful, funneling it through delicate synths that float above the mix. The vintage-inspired breakdown resets the mood, only to explode into action for a second round of groove.

The 24th release on microCastle sees two of electronic music's most loved producers Henri Hurtig aka Cid Inc. and Peter Goylan aka Lank back together for 2 more studio collaborations to follow up their 'Our Benefactors' EP from October of 2010. The 'Emotional Self' EP comes with two new original productions and remixes from: Microtrauma and Jamie Stevens. The 'Emotional Self' original gets the EP off on a very serious note. Cid Inc's titanium coated beats have never been more poignant or impactful. Jagged subby tones and a profoundly subversive bass line that reaches rib cage breaking depths sits at the foundation.  Draped with sheets of percolating effects a futuristic and deeply thought provoking set of tone bending chords wash over the composition which creates a rather daunting and ominous mood. The composition peaks following an unsettled and foreboding breakdown  with the lead chords warping and twisting their way to a momentous sonic conclusion.


The lone remix of 'Emotional Self' is provided by the German based duo Microtrauma who are famed for their outstanding productions on Traum; most notably 'Circulate'. Their recent 'Reflection' EP also on Traum has been heralded by many melodic techno fans as the EP of the year thus far and has earned serious praise from Hernan Cattaneo. 'Emotional Self' has been reconstructed by Microtrauma into a more techno inspired piece. The moody theme from the original is maintained and presented with a tougher and even more warped sensibility which should wreak havoc on even the most discerning dance floors.   Microtrauma's dynamic fills, futuristic sound design and ultra sharp transitions lead to a tension filled drop that climaxes with a seriously buzzing groove and an enthralling finale. Already charted by Hernan Cattaneo Microtrauma's 'Emotional Self' remix looks to go down as one of their coolest productions all year.


The second original on the package 'Urban Biorhythm' comes with a rolling, cavernous bass line and an undeniable big room feel. Themed around an irresistible synth hook and a tone trembling tension filled drop 'Urban Biorhythm' has turned out to be the perfect complement to the more heady 'Emotional Self'.  A Dub version of Urban Biorhythm has also been included which focuses on another one of Lank's rumbling grooves and layers of momentous hypnotic rhythms.


The lone remix of 'Urban Biorhythm' is supplied by Jamie Stevens who has achieved an amazing level of critical and commercial success over the course of his career. As one of Australia's most talented and sought after music producers, he has proven his skill in professional sound design, music scores for film and contemporary dance music. As the founding member of Infusion, the much-loved Australian electronic live act, he's left his mark around the globe, headlining some of the biggest and most respected clubs including; Fabric- London, Pacha - Buenos Aires, Womb- Tokyo and festivals such as Glastonbury, Coachella, Roskilde and Creamfields in Moscow, Brazil, UK and Argentina. In his home country, Infusion received 2 prestigious ARIA awards for their work. Here at microCastle we've been huge fans of Jamie's for years so we were thrilled to finally find a project for him. For his 'Urban Biorhythm' interpretation Jamie has completely overhauled the huge progressive original into a funky, wobbly, orchestral techno mix for the ages. An irresistibly chunky groove is complemented with gorgeous piano accents, shuffling drums and panoramic, widescreen synths for what results in one of Jamie's most unique and inspiring studio creations to date.  An understated anthem for the ages from Mr. Stevens and a perfect close to Cid Inc. & Lank's second EP for microCastle.

This is music to be treasured forever. In a small town in Southern Pennsylvania, USA close to the border of Maryland is where my music started and continues to be created. Many people have confused me with living in a big city like Philadelphia or New York, but in fact a small town called Waynesboro is where I dwell. In a sense, living here is a good thing... no big city pollution, no traffic and no music business egos. This environment also gives me time to think about how amazing it is that a kid from such a small place can actually get the opportunity to travel and DJ all over the world.
