Tantum! The out-of-the-box artist based in Germany, ready to take the world by storm! The globally renowned label, Lost & Found released Tantum's debut in August 2020. However, he has produced another breathtaking release that will make a massive impact on the international scene. The two trance-inducing tracks last for almost fourteen minutes, making the hypersonic aircraft flights seem slow. The attention to detail and a stellar production make the arrangements trippy, mind-expanding, and hallucinogenic. Tantum created the material for an audience with a refined taste. 'Opening 2022’s final quarter, Cid Inc’s Replug Records welcomes Mike Griego back to the label for a new EP. Based in Buenos Aires, the Argentinean DJ and producer has carved out a unique place in the electronic underground. His exacting design, addictive grooves and avant-garde melodies have made for a transcendent sound that continues to unify dancefloors around the world. With a career that now approaches fifteen years and one hundred discography credits, Mike would have to be considered one of progressive music’s elite artists. A meticulous discography reflects his choosy nature; with Replug and Sudbeat serving as the primary landing spots for his musical output. With 2021 being highlighted by his most recent Replug vehicle ‘Dysbiosis’, the Argentine made a much-lauded return to Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music earlier this year with ‘Foreign Affair’, before laying down impressive renditions of Kasper Koman’s ‘In Circles’ and Dmitry Molosh & Navar’s ‘Foreign Wonders’, released c/o Juicebox Music and Proportion respectively. Now, continuing what has been a great year, Mike returns to Replug with a three-track showcase entitled ‘Flying Doves’. 

As a favourite of Replug label boss Cid Inc across the summer season, EP opener and title selection ‘Flying Doves’ finds Mike at his creative best. Shot in high-definition and full of detail and drive, it's an emotive voyage where the Buenos Aires resident flexes his freethinking muscles and lands comfortably in-between groove-centric science and hopeful musicality. The inevitable zenith of this peak-time excursion mounts with nostalgic melodies and balmy harmonics converging, achieving a rich, colourful timbre over a bed of pulsating beats and fascinating percussion arrangements. 

More enigmatic yet is the EPs second selection 'Brothi’', a creation which finds Mike etching towards a darker monochrome. Plush kick drums and voluptuous bass stabs lead to electrified iterations of new age sonics. Cleverly cadenced coactions underpin a fascinating blend of pyrotechnic effects, before segueing into the main break where metallic melodies and effervescent rides unite, setting the course for a finale of rebounding rhythms and surreal sonic aesthetics.

The third and final selection 'Blood Echo’ further solidifies Mike's transcendent abilities. Possessing a dramatic undercurrent, the Argentine works hypnotizing structures over punchy kick drums and detailed percussion, creating waves of locomotive meditation. Its thrilling pulse has become a production hallmark for Mike, one where inventive drum patterns, mesmerizing rhythms and quixotic effects carry the storyboard onwards to a thunderous dance floor awakening. A fitting conclusion to a fresh three-track odyssey, one where Mike carefully balances technique and musicality, thus continuing his tenure as one of Argentina’s most beloved progressive house producers.'

PREMIERE: Kasper Koman - Hi (Original Mix) [Lost & Found]

With their first collaborative project Artfaq and Ezequiel Arias land on Cid Inc’s Replug Records with ‘Babel’. Hailing from Cordoba, Nacho Ferroni and Nacho Varela make up the Artfaq production team. The Argentinean duo have found favour amongst progressive music tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, while finding a home on Antrim’s rapidly rising Or Two Strangers imprint. Similarly, upon making his debut in 2013, Cordoba resident Ezequiel Arias quickly became a favourite of the two storied DJs as well, eventually leading to releases on Guy Mantzur’s Plattenbank Records, Sudbeat Music and Suara. Also a member of the Replug artist roster, Ezequiel made his label debut in November of 2017 with a contribution to the ‘Defined 01’ collection. Now making a welcome return to the Finnish imprint, Ezequiel pairs with label debutants Artfaq for a highly anticipated EP. 

Comprised of two tracks it’s the title piece ‘Babel’ which leads the release off.  Putting your emotional centres on high, a bed of warm beats and hip swinging rhythms set the stage for a full, driving groove. Redolent effects add an astral charm as the first act unfolds, while fragmented melodies are gently teased as the main break commences. Coming to full realization yet tastefully indistinct, it’s a musical narrative for the astute connoisseur, delivering a profound emotional message before smoothly transitioning into a groovy finale. 

Rounding out the EP is the equally stunning ‘Polaroid’. In crafting a smooth rolling groove, the Argentinean trio have fashioned a strong foundation, complemented with hypnotic pulses and percussive drive. Charming in design and emotive in delivery, harmonic phrases slowly engulf the framework, carrying the piece into joyous second act. As the bassline melts down, melodic motifs converge, opening up for moments of exuberant warmth and hopeful reflection, before a pulsating final act unites rhythm and groove for devastating dance floor dynamics.  It caps off a hugely successful collaborative project from three of Argentina’s most highly touted artists. A meeting of music minds where the end result further cements Replug’s ethos of delivering unique and exciting projects.

Recently Alex produced his own edit of Cid Inc's stunning 'Turning Pages' expertly using 'Marathon' as the backbone for a distinctive re-work. After garnering a lot of interest after a couple of high profile plays and as it is a festive time of year, and... we love to share the odd gift here at Replug, we are sharing this as an exclusive free download via the Replug Soundcloud page.
