Long before my album “Fox Hill Lane” was released I had been chatting to Chris Letcher about collaborating together. I was completely blown away by the production, the feel and the song writing on his first solo record “Frieze”. We had done a few shows in London together and I really wanted to find a way to get him on the album. Regrettably time constraints didn’t allow us to make it happen before the release date. Fortunately when the concept for this “out-takes” album ("To Disappear in Place") came along, I dropped Chris a call and asked if we could finish off what we started which is resulted in three new versions of tunes from “FHL”. Chris Letcher is a genius. There is not too much more to say. You only need ears to enjoy anything that Chris puts his magical weave on. This tune also features another one of my favourite South African musicians, Madala Kunene who plays Jewish Harp and sings in Zulu.
