Gohan is the latest offering by Frankie, The Guy. This is his first piece of music since dropping his ColourBlind EP back in October 2018. 

Gohan is just a simple song, a prelude of what is to come in the foreseeable future.

Frank L Tjale (born December 3rd, 1994) professionally known as Frankie The Guy, is a singer, poet and producer. Born in Johannesburg, and raised in Pretoria, he started singing from as early as the age of 10 and realized his love for music, which led him to pursue it as a career in 2009. In his earlier years, Frankie went on to study Information Technology at Boston City Campus and Business College. It was during the course of his second year where he felt the urge to put most of his energy into his music. 

With each day came new ideas of how he was going to become the artist he dreamt of becoming. When the opportunity came, Frankie became a member of two musical groups, Broda Fam as well as BFMG, which then helped him become an artist who not only wanted to bring his own vision to life, but to incorporate ideas of those around him, hence expanding his artistry beyond his expectations. Although being part of a band of any kind, encourages one to be more confident and feel the support from his/her band mates, there comes a time where they want to break free from that and become an individual brand. Frankie reached that point in 2016, as he decided to go on as a solo artist and maximize his full potential. 




Career  
As a Hip Hop/R&B artist, Frankie was and still is inspired by the likes of Ne-Yo (for his singing), Khuli Chana and HHP (for their styles of rapping), Sia (for her style of writing) and Drake (for his artistry). One thing he has in common with the artists mentioned is that his music is aimed at staying true to himself instead of trying to mimic what other artists are doing. 

Through his music, his vision includes bringing a sense of openness, being true to how people feel and how they truly live instead of portraying a misguided lifestyle. Based on the feedback from different listeners, it became clear to him that his biggest supporters at the moment were introverts. Despite that, his music is not specific to any age group, as he plans on making an impact on everyone by producing music that resonates with the young and old, through realistic music and his ability to speak from the heart.

On 20th October 2018, Frankie released his debut body of work "ColourBlind EP" which featured songs such as, "Broken Pieces", "The Pain" and "Toasted Work". The EP featured Payne from 3Arts Studios and production from King Dess, also from 3Arts Studios. The EP was recorded at 3Arts Studios. ColourBlind EP is still available for streaming.
