This is a very rough recording of a work in progress, more just to document the structure and to test the preamp. It will include Xiao flute eventually, and hopefully it should turn out quite nice. There will be vocals, and the guzheng will be recorded through a crisper microphone when I have one.

This is a song which I wrote with a friend of mine for our project Sunday In The Rain . This is merely an initial mix, so the final mix will be slightly different. Hopefully more from this project will be complete soon, and maybe it will be played live at some point soon too.

Plastic Cups

So this is just something I did to see what it would sound like. A few months ago, I painted a commission piece, and yesterday I was wondering what it would sound like to fourier transform the image and use the resulting audio. Naturally, it's devoid of melody, rhythm or anything like that, but it's sort of interesting from an atmospheric point of view.

Fear not! The guzheng and bass are still in use and hopefully there will be demos and actual recordings on them appearing soonish (ie. within the next century). The upload image is a mere part of the painting. The painting itself was rather large.

Transforming Space

Ok, here's a little thing I recorded as a microphone test, having aquired a Placid Audio Copperphone earlier today. This consists of ideas I intend to flesh out into a full song for a future project (the rest of the parts will be played by chinese instruments such as the dizi, pipa, ruan and erhu... oh and some drums, as it'll be a progressive rock/chinese project, so it'll be a bit odd). It's a work in progress (in the very, very early stages), and full of cockups at the moment, but I hope you think the ideas and melodies are not completely terrible.

Also: very low volume, you may need to turn it up a little.

Bassist attempting to learn guzheng. I am hoping to get something written with the Guzheng at some point in the next few months, but equptment permitting, most uploads may have to be demo versions of songs with electronic drums rather than accoustic ones.
