On early October of 2012, founding members Francis 'Chicha' Topia (Bass) and Gelvin 'Vin' Dalena (Lead) sought to find a singer that is capable of doing harsh/guttural vocals while at the same time hit clean notes. They found, Brian 'Bj' Ebit who was the vocals/writer of the former 'Volt Statique' and lead singer for 'Black and White'. Now, they needed a drummer to complete the mix. One such drummer was a friend of Chicha who filled the post briefly but unfortunately couldn't handle the schedule. Luckily, Bj had known a drummer back when he was playing in some other band. He was Christian 'Ian' Carreon. The band initially had many successes and was very active in producing new music such as 'Fall from Heaven', 'Destruction of the Pillars', 'Lord of the Necromancers', 'Laban' and '2 2' but due to personal reasons, Vin and Ian was needed to be dropped. It happened early Sept. 2013. It was a hard time for the band and it was even more harder to find new band mates. The band was slowly falling apart..

Then, Jerrick 'Jer' Gega came along. A former lead guitarist of the band 'Z-roma' he filled the post and the music came back. It was not the same music though, it became something much more than Death Metal. This became much more clear when Michael 'Eem' Andaya became the drummer. God vs the Kings' music was transformed into a mixture of Melodic Death Metal, Metalcore, NU Metal, Rap Metal, Jazz, Groove and Alternative Rock. Their first ever creation were 'Switch' and 'Lay on the ground' and it was first heard on Gabi ng Lagim - Nov.30,2013 held at 'The Hideout'.

But it seems misfortunes is a companion of the band. Because of the added load of schedules by another band to the bassist, he was unable to focus and cope up with the new genre. Ultimately, just after its first gig, Chicha Topia said his goodbyes.

Fortunately, all was not lost with the help of Jer who referred their former bassist Randolf 'Andong' Rafols to the team. With his knowledge of Arpeggios and Slap skills he proved to be a better fit for the band who now has two more new songs namely 'Facing the Giants' and 'Peste'. Together, they brought back the lost soul of God vs the Kings. Now even more RUTHLESS and UNKIND.
