Born Calvin James Smith on February 13, 1988 in the bay area and Ronald Allen McClain on August 11th, 1990  in Sacramento California, the Gwap Boiz are proving that determination in connection with the proper dose of persistence is all that is needed to assure primary success.  This new group entered this Hip Hop Industry eager to be heard, and from the moment they concluded that music is where their heart resided they have yet to decelerate.  

It all began back in 2007,  the two connected in the back of the workplace.  Ramdocious was rapping along with another coworker and C 2 da J overheard the freestyle going on and invited himself into the session.  The freestyling evolved into a battle rap between R.A.M and C 2 da J and it was uphill from there.  Early 2009 they made “Da Mobstarz” their official group name.  The name went through a few stages, but in the end “Gwap Boiz” stood out and stuck with them.

“We all about our money, so Gwap Boiz fit perfectly,” Ramdocious explains.  “Music is our passion, and the money fuels our passion so with a name like that we HAVE to get it in.”

Gwap Boiz are no strangers to the stage either,  they have performed at many venues including: “Club 6” in San Francisco, “Club Retro” in Roseville, “The Boardwalk” in Orangevale, “The Oaks Lounge” in Sacramento and many more… 

The Gwap Boiz have recently released their first  mixtape entitled “The Takeover” that can be found on Soundcloud (www.soundcloud.com/gwap-boiz/sets/the-takeover-mixtape) and Reverbnation (www.reverbnation.com/thagwapboiz). They also have a new music video circulating the web for  “Wake Ya City Up”, it is available on youtube (www.youtube.com/datbaykat650).
