Ich drehe um: den €, die Verpackung, mich. Ich verhandele zwischen dem Guten und dem Günstigen, meinem Gewissen und meinem Geld. „Für mich ist Wohlstand: im Supermarkt einfach kaufen, was mich anlacht, ohne nachzudenken.“ Ich gebe den verhandelnden Stimmen Raum. Ich prüfe Objekte und beschwöre Münzen. Ich singe mir Mut zu: „Money can´t buy a satisfied mind.“ Und finde das zugleich zynisch. Natürlich macht mehr Geld glücklicher – erst ab 30.000 € nicht mehr, sagt die Forschung.
Umdrehen ist eine Performance für Menschen, die meine Grunderfahrung des Existenzminimums teilen – und die sie nicht kennen. „Auf die 100g- und Kilopreise schauen, nicht auf die Produktpreise.“

Welche Fragen ich mir selbst stelle, wenn ich vorm Supermarktregal stehe?
Ob die Qualität gut und der Preis niedrig genug ist. Ob ich vielleicht reingelegt werde. Wie viele Pestizide über das Gemüse gezogen sind. Welchen Arbeitsbedingungen die Menschen, die es geerntet haben, und die Tiere, die gemolken wurden, ausgesetzt waren. Ob ich das hier wirklich, wirklich brauche. Ob ich einfach mal nach Farben einkaufen sollte. Ob die anderen Leute merken, was in meinem Einkaufswagen liegt. Ob sich ältere Leute nach den günstigen Sachen im unteren Teil des Regals bücken können.

R.I.P. Wolfgang Zamastil (* 13. März 1981 in Salzburg; † 26. November 2017)

I uploaded this live recording of "Foggy day" in memory of Wolfgang Zamastil, who passed away last year after a 14-moth-struggle with cancer. For this song he accompanied me on bass guitar. This theatre was our first work together and the start of more songs and recordings.

Wolfi, I love you as a friend and adore you as musician, composer and producer. Thank you for all music we created together. I will always be grateful for having known you as a person and artist.
