It's been quite a while since I last uploaded something onto Soundcloud, so I figured I'd upload something I was working on just out of boredom. Where I've been recently killing time playing Puyo Puyo Tetris, I remembered just how good The Top Floor theme from Puyo Puyo 2 (also known as Final of Puyo Puyo 2) sounded, so I decided to go back and recreate the Super Puyo Puyo 2 version of the song, putting a Famicom/NES spin on it.

For this mix I've used the VRC6 and MMC5 memory banks to create additional channels, including some FM-sounding ones, and the additional FDS channel to further create some sound. With PCM sampling to allow higher quality drums, and a pseudo-echo to give the Noise channel some extra bite, I must admit I did quite enjoy this rendition.

2BA Mixtape is a collection of 15 edits and remixes, created to bridge the gap between nerds and normies at live events. 

Dj CUTMAN began at late night parties at gaming conventions, in the hallways and panel rooms we called "Secret Raves." All manners of chiptune, video game and dance music were welcome. As the years passed and my following grew, I started touring. I took shows in new cities. I got to perform in all manner of places, from dive bars to museums, but not all my experiences were positive. 

I struggled in larger venues where my chiptune and game music collection wouldn't connect with a mainstream audience. My library was a smash hit at conventions and nerd-culture events, why weren't these folks feeling it? 

What worked at a convention rave might not fly at a posh hotel in NYC or a swanky casino in Atlantic City. I was shook, but not scared off. I researched new styles of music, and fell in love with the production sound of the late 90s and early 2000s. 

2.B.A. Mixtape is an album of songs that have grown with me over the years. Some of them may be a little silly, or completely ridiculous. They, like me, have survived and thrived through this crazy musical odyssey. And every single one GOES OFF at the right party 🔥🚀😁

Requested by SilverRainbow100 via YouTube. Not too sure whether this is an hourly tune, or possibly the Dodo Airlines music since it was the first thing shown when the music began. Nashville-based composer, indie artist, and mix engineer born into a musical family in 1997, Garrett Williamson grew up constantly writing music on the piano and figuring out grooves on the drums. By the time he was 10, he began recording his own music. In 2012, he released his debut album, Edge of the Universe, and from there continued to release more projects commercially. He eventually began working on music for YouTubers such as the group Hidden Block, and for video games including Asagao Academy and Rev Heads Rally. Garrett has also worked on music for professional producers, mainly doing synth and beat design work.

Some of Garrett’s largest influences include The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Foo Fighters, Dirty Loops, Janet Jackson, John Mayer, Justin Timberlake, Nirvana, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, Jamiroquai, and many others. Within video game music, Garrett is heavily influenced by Koji Kondo, Jun Senoue, Simon Stålenhag, Tomoya Ohtani, Yuzo Koshiro, Kazumi Totaka, and many, many more. 

Garrett is currently working on more music for video games, YouTubers, documentaries, and his own personal projects.
