I started writing Maybe, Maybe Not on 4th December 2023. It was initiatially meant to be a freestyle but was developed into a full song at the studio 2 days later, 6th December 2023. The song is based on true experiences some friends shared with me. While listening to the instrumental, produced by Newsong Chris, I just started to sing the chorus based on one of my friend's experience. And now we have this beautiful record: A song about potential lovers who have genuine interest in each other yet do not want to rush things, they want to take the time required to build a strong and lasting relationship. After releasing the original version of this song I wanted to create a more intimate & passionate expression. An acoustic version was the best thing I could think of and I was glad to have my brother (Benjamin Asare) play the acoustic guiar and perform this song with me.

A mountain without a summit is one thing that comes to mind when we think of the individual raw talents and sheer creativity of Konadu and Gyidi. We've seen the fruits of said talent and creativity from their work in Stamped, (a trio of spokenword poets) and X4G, (one dynamic music band) respectively. Together they set out on a journey. Using a road travelled by few. Forever climbing the "peakless" mountain as they weather and defeat the storms of the mundane and prosaic in order to gather the ingredients needed to cook up a storm and serve you with the Spoken Song. An album acting as the receptacle for a rich blend of the seasoned play on words that comes with spokenword poetry and the food-for-the-soul that is music. Bon appétit.
