"The Mood" is the result of a meeting such as those that exist during Sound Systems sessions, or exchanges in the darkest hours of the night in the studio... For this 75th release in Free Download on Culture Dub Records, highlighting two young French artists passionate about Reggae and Dub: Prince François Far I and ShaYaman, who together offer a fresh, original riddim, intended to be shared, with its sung, Dub and instrumental versions, but also a Remix by their accomplice Owl Trackers!

"A Sound System-oriented track, 'The Mood' is the riddim resulting from numerous experiments and influences that hold us... 2 years of research to arrive at this UFO that will land directly "In the Brain" ..."

A musician and composer of Roots Music, Prince François Far I has been sharing his saxophonist's breath in Sound Systems sincehis youngest age. Logically launching into production, his compositions are scattered from Dubplates to Dubplates, among the different crews he met around the Jah Highway: Natural Tribulation, Alpha B, Wise Up, Raw Paradigm, Dub Dealing, 48roots, Maka Saiga and Karabasse among others!

ShaYaman is a Reggae, Dub producer affiliated with Maka Saiga Sound, a regular at Reggae sessions in the Grenoble area (grrr Dub Session, Summer Vibes, Alpin'Dub...)! He started producing in 2017 in order to feed the Sound's selection, ranging from UK Dub to more Roots compositions, ShaYaman draws his inspiration from artists such as Gaudí, Lee Scratch Perry, or Zion Train!

"In the Mood, recorded and mixed at At Inner Caves Studio, is also our tribute to King Lee Scratch Perry, who taught us that Dub, or more broadly Reggae, is a creative space with ambiguous boundaries..."

"The Mood" est le fruit d'une rencontre artistique comme il en existe au cours de sessions Sound Systems, ou d'échanges aux plus grandes heures de la nuit en studio... C'est le cas pour cette 75ème sortie en Free Download du label Culture Dub Records, mettant en avant deux jeunes artistes français passionnés de Reggae et de Dub : Prince François Far I et ShaYaman, qui proposent ensemble un riddim frais, original, à vocation d'être partagé, avec ses versions chantée, Dub et instrumentale, mais aussi un Remix de leur complice Owl Trackers !

Le RAFIK SOUND SYSTEM basé à Périgueux est composé de 4 selectas Woody Craft / Vimana / Clochette et Baptou, du chanteur Mc Joss et du dubmaker SkonC the Chemist.
Faisant tous partis de l’association/net label Marée BASS, ils ont décidé de se réunir  pour construire leur propre sono, comme le veut la tradition dans la culture sound system Jamaïcaine.
Avec, ils diffusent un peu partout leur amour du reggae allant du Roots au Dub qui tache!!!
Et font découvrir la culture du sound system jusque dans nos campagnes les plus reculées.
Aujourd’hui c’est en “famille” qu’ils vous présentent leur tout premier double EP!
Orchestré par le Dubmaker de la bande SkonC the Chemist, Monkey Attack est le fruit d'une profonde amitié au sein du collectif et les différentes personnes présentes depuis le début de leur aventure.
On y retrouve le flow et les paroles engagées de Mc Joss sur des riddims allant du roots au stepper avec la participation de l’ami Artz saxophoniste, Ras Kenroll percussionniste et Phoniandflore.
L’Ep reprend aussi des morceaux connus qui montrent l’éclectisme des influences du crew.

The RAFIK SOUND SYSTEM based in Périgueux, is composed of 4 selectas as Woody Craft / Vimana / Clochette and Baptou, Mc Joss as the singer and SkonC the Chemist as the dubmaker.
All members of Maree Bass, they decided to build their own Sound System, as the tradition in Jamaican sound system culture.
They spread their love of reggae everywhere with it, from Roots to heavy Dub selection!
One of their goal is to introduce the sound system culture to our most remote countryside.
Today, more united than ever, they are proud to release their first double EP!
Orchestrated by the Dubmaker SkonC the Chemist, Monkey Attack is the result of a deep friendship within the collective and the various people present since the beginning of their adventure.
It includes Mc Joss's flow and lyrics on some tracks, from roots to stepper with the participation of Artz the saxophonist from Escoyra Sound System the percussionist Ras Kenroll and Phoniandflore.
This release also includes known songs which will show the eclectic influences of the crew.
