Halldór Eldjárn is an Icelandic electronic musician. Travel Kit is an ongoing series of impromptu music making sessions at random locations. I use all sorts of battery powered instruments and recording devices and set it up in places that inspire me.

Sometimes I have programmed a sequence beforehand and record the performance, but the songs are always open-ended for exploring and improvising. The soundscape and acoustics of the surroundings form the basis for each session.

Session #1 was recorded by the seashore in Flateyri in the Westfjords of Iceland. Using only the Elektron model:samples sequencer and a Zoom H6 recorder, the project starts off with a minimal composition that evolves as it progresses.

Italian producer Populous makes his long awaited return to Wonderwheel with the first volume of his 2 part “Moonbaton” series - a collection of darker, instrumental reggaeton & moombahton cuts inspired by the zodiac, magic, and mystery of the universe. Things kick off with "Flauta Magica," focusing around the clave and a brooding synth line and a dembow style beat interweaving itself with the flute & a little bit of acid vibes for good measure. Next up is "Sapo," a distant, foreboding track with a monster of a beat & bassline complimenting a childlike fairy tale melody on top.

Jólalög framtíðarinnar kom út í takmörkuðu upplagi árið 1999 og var seld á svarta jólamarkaðinum á heimabrenndum geisladiskum í illa fjölrituðum pappahulstrum með myndskreytingu eftir Ragnar Kjartansson. Til að fagna 20 ára afmæli plötunnar (og 2019 ára afmæli Frelsarans) ákváðum við að endurútgefa hana sem stafrænan straum á hljóðsins skýi, endurgjaldslaust, beint frá hljóðgjöfum til neytanda. Þetta er jólagjöf okkar til ykkar, en okkur þætti vænt um að þið, hlustendur góðir, mynduð endurgjalda okkur greiðann með því að styrkja góðgerðarsstarfsemi að eigin vali.
