Without You (Radio Edit) [feat. Kerry Leatham]

DJ Submerge, originating from the Fondue-renowned city of Fribourg and now residing in Berne with his family has been DJing since the early 90s. Inspired by the legendary „Max Mix“-tape-series, he started out with 4/4 techno but switched to all things UK Hardcore & Breakbeat after being mindblown by DJ Hype’s Mixtape Nr. 1 which he bought at a show by The Prodigy in Bulle. Struck by his newly-found passion he delved more and more into the latest vinyl releases coming from the UK. After several years of practising at home he had his first gigs in and around his hometown when setting up his own events with friends, but also at Bad Bonn Düdingen and the legendary Fri-Son which hosted some of the very first Swiss Jungle raves such as with Trace and Ryme Tyme in 1994. He then moved to Berne for studying and connected to the tightly-knit D&B scene centered around Dachstock and Deejay MF’s long-running Darkside-series after being part of the Lucerne-based Jungle Raiderz Crew. He took over the side-event-series Liquid Sessions from the original promoter Roland aka DJ SIP after being a regular figure at both events for years. He has been co-promoting the series together with fellow local DJs Lockee and Ryck since 2015. DJ Submerge’s many years of high activity are a testament to his great love for all things Drum&Bass, ranging from dark rollers to bright sunny liquid flavours. Besides promoting he is also working on his own music in his newly re-constructed homestudio.

Sell My Soul (Kings Of The Rollers Remix) [feat. Maverick Sabre]

1. Simstah - Fragmented 
Warm pads, subtle teases of piano and hearty vocals light up the sparse, but catchy intro from Berne homie Simstah, just to surprise on the drop when switching things to a a gritty bassline funk affair with irresistible groove. The classy track beautifully alternates between two poles, letting the dark contrast with the light and falling back from the leading heavyweight riff to its more emotional undertone again. 

2. OctaState - OMB
Our brother from St Gallen in the far East of Switzerland delivers his trademark simplistic, yet highly energetic style, starting off with vintage style synth samples and vocal chops, enough to build up great tension before unleashing a massive warping b-line sustained by an uberpowerful kick and snare rhythm - peak time tuneage guaranteed to shake the walls of any warehouse

3. OctaState - Trace Tech 
Upbeat minimalist Rave stomper laced with lovely dubbed-out bleeps and effects that is very much an updated hommage to the Tech Step sound dominating the international scene around the millennium years. Faceslapping snares, relentlessly driven forward by the poignant kickdrum and the chest-hitting Sub Bass with maximum impact on the drop, this is anthemic stuff made for the big sound rigs. 


4. Simstah - Memories
Laidback summertime flex for the sunlovers with fat slices of 90s headnod nostalgia to close off the EP with superpowered oldschool breakbeats, rumbling bass hits and musical swooshes of cut-up funk and soul bits, showing Simstahs deep roots in Hip Hop and its sampling culture. If you remember strolling home from La Cinta Beach in Sardinia, this would make the perfect soundtrack.
