Biography
In 1974, Howard Tooze moved to London from the Philippines. It was in London where his early musical experiences and influences were rooted in electro, hip hop, reggae and disco.

London is a city rich with musical styles and sounds. It was here that Howard found inspiration in underground house music, clubs, warehouse parties and "old school" mix tapes from the early pioneers - Paul Oakenfold, Carl Cox and pirate radio station shows on Kiss Fm, listening to dj's such as Norman Jay, Colin Faver and Paul Trouble Anderson.

During the late 80's whilst studying Display Design at Saint Martin’s he purchased his first set of technics 1200's turntables. This moment in time is when he caught the bug for playing and collecting records. After practicing at home he began playing at various house parties, bars and eventually into the clubs.

After years of development, Howard Tooze has played in numerous high profile clubs and events; Ministry of Sound, Pacha London, The Egg club, Koko, Electric Brixton, Scala, McQueen, The Driver, The Whitehouse, Cafe De Paris, Pushca, Es Vive Ibiza and Playboy Club London. In addition to playing in the club circuit Howard has also been ask to play at various fashion events and provide soundtracks for exclusive brand launches working with some of the best production teams in the UK.

His musical style is diverse from deep house to Latin tribal beats through to re worked retro disco classics with melodic, infectious and soulful rhythms that would work any dance floor. During his career he's been fortunate enough to play alongside and billed with the likes of Basement Jaxx, Todd Terry, Laidback Luke, Paul Van Dyke, Michael Gray, Bingo Players, Seb Fontaine, Robert Owens, Audiowhores, Saytek, and Alex P.

In 2011 Howard decided to try his hands at music production. He called upon the club land and house music pioneer Nicky Holloway to help pursue his dreams in the studio. Their first 2 tracks were well received and chosen to feature on the soundtrack for the Film documentary "one more" the definitive history of UK clubbing 1988 - 2008 released in February 2012.

Fast forward to 2016 during a time when it seemed EDM was taking over the dance music scene, it was here when Howard was inspired to form his own brand of clubbing 'The Soul Sessions' which was mainly based around his love for the New York inspired sound of Deep Soulful House and Disco, whilst paying homage to the legendary club The Paradise Garage where it all began. The events became an instant success with multiple sold out events within Kent and entering new venues across London, which also attracted guests DJ's such as the legendary Terry Farley and Full Intention with whom Howard collaborated with in the studio to produce the club hit 'Piano High’.
