The song story tells about some of the challenges the youth and their families face as black people living in south Africa, more especially, communities living in the townships of Soweto.  The same challenges HVPPY experiences as an independent artist. Black tax is a term used in south Africa as money taxed by family members or people living around You, that includes the community , whenever you earn a certain source of income as a bread winner at home or a hero in your community through your employment or independence.

Happy Shandu Sifumba aka H V P P Y is an independent, self –signed South African alternative Hip Hop & groove artist, signed under his music licensing and publishing HVPPY PTY (LTD) Company that publishes and collects all his Royalty based gross income, whenever his music is published in the public domain on radio, stage, or any public places. 
He is a registered artist with all relevant CMO (Collection Management Organizations) of South Africa, who performs and writes his own music. He was born & raised in Soweto, Orlando West extension & started pursuing his music career at the age of 12 in grade 5 while doing his 5th year at the Seventh day Adventist Primary school and church in 2005. Back then, he was singing in an accapella group he formed with his apprentice and had gained a lot of experience with performing for audiences in church and at school. By learning how to write his own music from the age of 12 till to date… ever since, he never looked back!
 At Barnato Park high school between, 2008-2012. He was customarily known for arts and performances. It is a gift and a blessing that he valued so much to a point that he dedicated himself to it. His pro-activeness made him to be socially recognized by pupils and teachers at school. He was involved in the school gumboot dancing, the school choir, soccer and the debate team. His pro-activeness as a performer at school natured his craft and experience as a performer and author today.

In 2020, HVPPY was nominated as Artist of the year at the O11 City Awards, Gauteng and was on the top 5 list of the most voted artist's, it being the main successful paths of his journey as an upcoming ,new fresh artist. Today, he is running a music show called the star music podcast in order to give other artist's in and around soweto a platform to advertise, promote and develop their individual or collective brands.
 
HVPPY is also hosting an annual festival event in soweto called The #Behvppynyefestival, an annual event that celebrates the New years eve and also a platform for young and up coming artist's to show case their artistry and for both informal and formal businesses to sell, advertise  and promote their services and products through a series of interactive stalls Or workshops. 
HVPPY is currently campaigning on his depute single called love heals, No more pain feat. Blxck Boy Tingz that is currently available only on YouTube music. The song is inspired by Hvppy's business skills and intellect, as he is a grown man now. He realized the importance of being able to open the heart and allowing love inside for a healing process to take place, as we are going through so much as individuals living on earth. Its a song to bring back hope to the people who seek love and happiness in their lives.
