MASA 006 delves deep into the sound of Leipzig resident HAL (@h0a0l)and includes two additional collaborations with his long-time friend & studio partner Perm (@perm-3). It's an elegant selection of tracks produced between 2018 and 2023, some of them recovered from long-lost hard drives and carefully remixed with the help of T I N's keen ears.

An always-present groove, magnetic synth-scapes, and saturated ambiance set the pace throughout the EP while the warm and fuzzy sound makes for timeless joy, blending throbbing techno with deep house and dubby nuances, giving every beat a distinct texture.

MASA Series is a Spanish vinyl and digital techno / electro label that has featured a variety of deep, IDM and acidic, analogue styles from the likes of Roger van Lunteren to up-and-coming talent.

MASA 006 delves into the wonderful sound of Leipzig resident HAL who has released on Inland aka Ed Davenport's Counterchange Recordings and Detroit Underground amongst others.

The EP also includes two additional collaborations with his long-time friend and studio partner Perm who is an established producer in his own right with appearances on Uncanny Valley, Sungate and KANN.

It's an elegant selection of tracks produced between 2018 and 2023, some of them recovered from long-lost hard drives and carefully remixed with the help of T I N's keen ears.

This set was recorded live at Open Society and released for @solid-rotation Sorradio on @sphere_radio. 

It’s the second Friday of the month. Does this already ring a bell? Yes, of course, SORadio is back with a new episode. We are glad to welcome: HAL. Fitting to the hibernal flash freeze here in Germany, HAL served us some good vibes, which give us hope for better times. From 80s Electro, via Hyperfunk, all the way to Soul Boogie, he doesn’t leave anything to be desired within his mix. Extraordinarily done – as we think. Together with enelRAM, HAL maintains a series of parties called “Space is the Place”, which regularly operates at the Leipzig based mjut-club, at least under “normal” circumstances. However, because of pandemic distortions, the two artists adjusted their bio-rhythm and, of late, dabble in their own radio show at Sphere Radio. As a cherry on top, together with Perm they recently published the track “Schonig Fortab”, which, among other audiolicious works, was released by arch and is available as tape as well as digital.
