INFO: For h2the’s first release he drops a beat tape that is literally only available on cassette. Forcing fans to get out of their comfort zones, digest the music, and work a bit more heavily seems to be his brand’s raison d’être. In order for people other than analog enthusiasts to hear it, there is a digital-only teaser of the mixtape, which is its own release and is not simply a few moments from the mixtape. Taste Of The

“How I” began as as instrumental after Sirken watched a plethora of 80’s films (Cocktail, Lost Boys etc) that influenced a dark and gloomy deep sub synth feel, and while being gloomy at the time, he entitled the original song “This Is How I Feel.” Belle Jewel shuffled through a myriad of Sirken's tracks, taking a liking to “This Is How I Feel.” They held a couple of sessions where melodies and lyrics were finalized, and what naturally came out from her was exactly what the track needed; a deep sense of desire for purpose.

h2the liked what he heard, but wanted to make it bigger and more dynamic, so he re-worked it for the Alt Version (a.k.a. Remix) with REV-ENG. The collaboration came together when h2the reached out to James Chul Rim (REV-ENG) after hearing Willow’s “Wait A Minute”, which he produced, on Spotify. He was blown away by the style and the two connected on their own sonic synergies. "How I" combines Belle's ethereal voice and retro-inspired vocal style, with a mix of soul, dream-pop, and hip-hop sonics

h2the & FLAVIA - "Gotta Let You Go"

After hearing Richie Quake’s song ‘Nothing In My Head’ come on right after his own on Spotify’s “Fresh Finds” playlist, @h2the was immediately taken by his infectious vocals and hit up Quake about doing a remix. h2the teamed up with fellow producer Slvmber (the two had previously produced together on the award-winning remix for Jack Antonoff’s Bleachers single, “Don’t Take The Money”) and they went to work on the remix for the song. 

Their remix of ‘Nothing in my Head’ merges 80s synths and layered beats while it takes the listeners on a sonic journey letting them go of the stresses in their head and giving way to the hypnotic swing in the drums. The songs lyrics detail the feeling of sitting up in the early morning hours after a long night, wanting all your thoughts to stop racing through your head so you can have a moment of peace.

Matched tells the story of what happens when two young singles, Alex (Andrea Bordeaux) and Hugo (Jean Elie), decide to meet up for a date in a very unconventional setting. The short film, backdropped by the title track “Matched”, the latest to be released by h2the (nèe Erez Safar), serves a dual purpose of being a cinematic narrative and a moody music video, whose visual style and energetic sound complement one another.

Matched is produced by h2the and Andrea Bordeaux, directed by Stewart Yost, written by Moshe Lehrer and edited by Danny Reams. 
“Matched” is a follow up to h2the’s previous work, titled, “High on You” (video of the same name), which was nominated for The Loeries in both the Music Video and Film Craft - Writing categories, taking home the gold in the Music Video category.

H2the, who just premiered his latest track on Spotify's official Fresh Finds playlist, merges 80s synths and layered beats, brought to life through dynamic visuals and sound. The Village Voice described his productions as “adventurous and banging” while 2DOPEBOYZ and Vibe Magazine’s allhiphop.com have also noted h2the’s rap flips of 80′s inspired sonics. “Matched” blends future-hop with retro synths, floating through an ethereal space with vocals to match.

-- Inspired by the idea of an acrostic, h2the’s upcoming album is a literal poem written by the artist, with each track making up the whole. The songs play as a soundtrack to the subconscious. Made up of dreamlike soundscapes with dialogue sampled in various places throughout the experience. Each track takes the listener further into the emotional space of the artist. Unlike albums mostly strung together with singles, this album is meant to be listened to as a whole.

In an effort to stay true to his original vision to never go too pop, h2the took the time while in quarantine to craft a Lo-Fi album true to the sounds with which this project began. For h2the, this album, titled An Album of Lo-Fi Songs That Will Never Trend, represents acceptance and rediscovery. Originally setting out to brand himself as a synth artist both in visual aesthetic and sound and as he kept producing, he found his songs kept leaning heavier and heavier into pop collaborations with artists like Flavia and REV-ENG (Jaden, Willow). An album of lo-fi songs that will never trend is meant to represent not what is, but what could have been.

The lp, titled An Album of Lo-Fi Songs That Will Never Trend, will hit stores on May 22nd. h2the will perform the songs “live” on the 21st at 7pm pst, just as the record hits Spotify.

Out July 3rd! - As the world slowly gets back to itself, a unique cover of Thin Lizzy's hit "The Boys are Back in Town", is taken on by synth-hop Producer/DJ, h2the and Singer-songwriter/Producer, Sounten. Originally produced for a sync op that never came through, the duo was apprehensive about the cover of this classic rock song. After producing the track, they found that they really enjoyed the outcome. So much so that h2the began to throw it in his live DJ sets for DASH Radio. Because of this, they decided to release it, hoping the new take on an old classic would help shepherd in some much l needed positive summer vibes.
