Hywel's career started as a teen in the 00s. Discovering the UK's underground free party scene he immersed himself in the sound system culture and soon began collecting jungle and early dubstep records.

Moving to Bristol at the start of the decade, Hywel's skill transitioned to the club. He went on to become a member of Apex Collective where he held a residency at one of the UK's top nightclubs Motion. The group gained recognition on an international basis supporting the likes of Groove Armada, Pete Tong and Submotion Orchestra at venues and festivals across Europe.

In 2016 Apex split and Hywel founded his own label and events brand EMINENT [@eminentuk]. Constantly at the forefront of the electronic music scene EMINENT continues to push innovative dance music, fusing elements of minimal NYC house with the electro and broken beat techno of Detroit; a theme that resounds with Hywel's production and DJ sets.
