Dedication (for Gabi) sits at intersection of neo-classical scoring infused with melancholic piano, electronica fx and mesmering vocals: imagine Nils Frahm, Ólafur Arnaulds and Jóhan Jóhannsson combining with Lisa Gerrard to score a Christopher Nolan film. The track aims to resonate with the full spectrum of emotions, reflecting Marks’ view that life is multi-faceted with layers of beauty and complexity. Marks composed all elements of the track, performed, recorded and produced all the keyboard and synthesizer elements, while the strings were performed by the Budapest Art Orchestra (in one take) and vocals by New York based Latvian born singer Arta Jēkabsone.

This piece is an homage to Marks' late cousin Gabi Basser, who lived with incredible resilience, strength and grace.
