Recorded live at Horoom in mid-March comes this next instalment from Copenhagen representative Martin Gilleshøj. The DJ, co-founder of KUNE music and arts festival, co-founder of Axces Recordings (and their event series), and head at vinyl dispensary Proton Records is a bulwark of the Danish scene. Alongside pals like previous Bassiani Podcast guest Kasper Marott, Søren Kinch and Popmix he’s been key to his city’s cultural offer, blending groovy dancefloor tracks irrespective of narrow genre categorisations with a focus on high-energy nighttime turnouts. It’s a witty spin on clubland fare, iconoclastic and highly danceable stuff that keeps the happy chemicals unanimously flowing. Another plate to spin: he also now runs Buttheads, an intimate club series turned into a record label for the work of selected friends. Through all these outlets, Martin unravels the common thread that binds his work together, laying open a mix of styles and developing something fresh in their coming together. For Bassiani Podcast 261 Gilleshøj flexes his DJ muscles and delivers three hours of wobbly prime time bangers. Fluid, shapeshifting and soulful rhythms, slick selecting flawlessly woven together, a gradual build that perfectly epitomises Horoom’s spirit. This is a sweaty, long haul set from the Danish polymath and clubfloor mischief-maker.

Recorded live at fabric's 25th birthday, their RA.999 captures that feeling perfectly. High-tempo, irresistibly groovy and full of quiet authority, it marks a return to the series for both: Moonear with RA.520, and Dygas with the fourth-ever RA Podcast all the way back in 2006.

They also gave rare interviews, reflecting on a deep musical connection that began in 2007, the legacy of minimal and lessons from a life spent in DJ booths the world over.

For his debut single as Pocket Candy, HAKEEM delivers Rain Dance, a pumping, groove-driven tech house cut laced with larger-than-life synth lines, airy vocal stabs, and dub-soaked textures. Pocket Candy’s debut EP Dreamin’ unfolds in a dreamlike landscape, translating the surreal nature of imagined fantasies into sound. Shimmering, ethereal synth lines guide the listener through dub-infused dimensions, while gritty percussion keeps things grounded with textured, dancefloor-ready drumwork. Conceptually, Dreamin’ is a sonic interpretation of hyperphantasia—a condition marked by exceptionally vivid mental imagery. Across five tracks, Pocket Candy brings both lucid and non-lucid dreams to life, crafting a tangible world of sound. The EP features three lush, synth-driven tech house originals, each capturing a distinct figment of the imagination, alongside two remixes by Braver and A.Dixen.

As the debut release from Pocket Candy (aka HAKEEM), Dreamin’ reflects his evolution as a producer shaped by his experience as a DJ. The EP blends melodic and textural depth with functional groove, drawing influence from dub, ‘80s synth pop, ‘90s tech-house, and the contemporary sonic territory explored by labels like Ilian Tape and Wisdom Teeth, or artists such as Silverlining, L.B. Dub Corp, Dario Zenker, K-Lone, and HLLW.

The EP’s single “Rain Dance” is reimagined through two remixes by long-standing staples of the Copenhagen scene:

Braver’s remix delivers a tight, groove-driven rework. Lush key stabs, dubby atmospheres, and intricate percussion fuel a steady momentum, blurring the lines between tech house and dub techno with contemporary flair sure to get any dancefloor going.

A.Dixen’s version takes a more introspective approach, conjuring a submerged, dub-soaked world. Synths drift like currents around vocal stabs and a weightless, rolling bassline—coming together in a track that feels like it could loop forever.
