43 years have passed and here I am again on the platform waiting for this train which will transport me and make me travel to Castile and then Andalusia, final destination.

The main theme of my Aria was also written during my teenage years on a cheap Yamaha keyboard, as a simple flute melody. A dozen years later, after vigorously immersing myself in the music of the old masters, I finally managed to breathe completely new life and meaning into it.

I can confidently say that I drew inspiration from the enchanting and, at times, ethereal serenity of a particular Mediterranean landscape also found in my native province of Dalmatia. This was perfectly captured by a beautiful watercolor painting (courtesy of a magnificent painter, Vanja Kalemba) depicting a white church nestled in a lavender field. The painting may have even spurred me on further to try to encapsulate the feeling of the landscape, a beauty that no one from Dalmatia can ever take for granted due to its constant and ever-present allure.

The form of this composition falls somewhere between a rondo and theme & variations, since all the episode of the rondo form stem from the main melody as, after many experiments, I concluded that a more straightforward musical language better suits the vision of this piece, without the need for complex ornamentation and texture.

I dedicate this composition to my beloved son Karlo, who has brought more serenity and beauty into my life than anything else.

After Party - Wymzy

Another piece based on the synth compositions from my long-past teenage years. The main theme (slightly rewritten) comes from a short piece I named The Mist Majesty, which, in my opinion, had a distinct autumnal flavor that I wanted to preserve and emphasize in this rewrite. It is also about something else, but autumn is unmistakably present, and I think the watercolor I chose as the cover fits perfectly.
Completed in April of 2025.

The Hallway

Local Underground RDG is pleased to present this new genre-defying mix from J Clarion. Moving through UK garage, 2step, Breakbeat, Dubstep, House and Drum & Bass, Joey curates a cohesive narrative whose primary motif suggests that "Love is the Answer." 

In this mix, Joey brings over two decades worth of experience to the tables.  His agile movement between genres, and the care and attention he's taken in selecting and programming these tracks, makes evident that his sincere contributions to Pennsylvania's dance music community are not efforts made in vain. For many, many years Joey has been sowing good seeds for dance music and we are proud to offer this bloom.

Christiane Hommelsheim sings and plays on sound objects, Ralf Haarmann electronics and mandoline. With a central interest in loops, they create intertwined acoustic layers. Through the looper all sounds loose their corporality, they resolve within themselves, they appear and

Ocassionally a sentences might appear out of nowhere, and lingers unfinished in the space, like a piece of thought-furniture, that might develop within the ear of the listener before it retreats back out of focus. HAARMANNHOMMELSHEIM create poetics of absence, poetics of nothing.

Our music is a unique blend of electronic music, jazz, and world music. It is characterized by intricate rhythms, lush melodies, and hypnotic sounds, which are skillfully woven together by Leopoldo et Lacerda. The music has a modern, futuristic feel, pure Portuguese urban soul, creating a sound that is both original and captivating.
