Low Flame

Undefeated battle  rapper, producer and graffiti artist Haas One. Hailing from Sunnyslope, AZ from groups the Squids, Unconventionalz, Ascended Masterz, Sub Unit and EOTS Empire Of The Sun Crew. One of the founders of the underground hip-hop scene in Arizona in the 90's and 2000's. 
 
Haas One started beat boxing and rapping in front of the class in third grade. His love for poetry and drawing as a child, blossomed into graffiti and rhyming in high school. He started free style rhyming on the mic's and in the backyards of Sunnyslope house parties with DJ Twist 1. In college he studied Art and Studio Music Recording.  He met Hillside Strangler and starting honing his battle skills. He invested in some recording equipment and an ASRX sampler. At SEF he met an MC by the name of Lethal Swift. They would later for a group named Storm Troopaz, renamed Unconventionalz. Twist 1 introduced him to Jawa  who gave him some beats for his first demo.  Jawa would later introduce him to Octatounge, Smoke, Many Pieces and Classic.  Later he would meet the Lee bro's Dry Hump and Snorkel Bob. This collective would go on the be known as Empire Of The Sun Crew.
 
He started selling tapes at the places like Style Rock Graffiti shop and  in the parking lot at shows he would play. At the Nitty Gritty art shows he would do the same, free-styling with cats like Pigeon John and Murs who lived in Tucson.  Ascended Masters and the Unconventionalz would start there first weekly gig called the Sigma Spot at Nita's Hideaway in Tempe, AZ. Hooking up with some of the band members of Short Bus and MOFOS, they played with a live funk and jazz band; rocking the 
spot. Sub Unit was born.
