The story brings to light the challenge of a section of Kibera residents having to wait for more than 6months to be able to get national Identity cards.   And birth certificates for their children.  The feature brings to light what parents have to go through and even end up losing hope in this process.

The story was focusing on why it is important for a child to have an official document when joining any school in Kibera.
The pain is that the delays in obtaining documents like birth certificates may pose a challenge of missing out on sponsorship opportunities by some of the schools.
