ROSBERN debuts in WAREBLUES with a 4-track EP Deep House. Stomping, "Keep Pushin'" opens the presentation, classic vocals, a sharp bass and melodies take you to feel the old vibes of House music. "Untitled Song", with its deep atmospheres, a Jackin rhythm and acid synths pull the club down. For the B side ROSBERN leaves the stomp beat aside and proposes melodies to be the soul of the song. In "Try This Shit" the melancholic vocals and sounds do not move longer the feet but the heart. Finally, "Livin' High" closes the presentation, a track with raw sounds, sampling techniques and a lot of tape processing.

After the success of their first release, Emotive returns with a 3 track follow up from label forefathers Silk 86. Emotive 002 continues the theme of its predecessor, with an evocative blend of house, disco and some much needed soul laying the foundations for all 3 tracks.

The aptly named 'Vince Charming' kicks off the package, drawing you in with a smooth bass hook before the vocal gets to work on embedding itself deep into your mind. On the flip side 'Whenever You Need Me' is a driving house workout, featuring cascading strings and horns straight out of disco's heyday. Rounding off the package is the not so subtle 'Vince Charming G Mix' a thumping club ready rework of the A side.

And finally we find Adam Port on B2, pursuing his knack for lost African treasures. Once again he finds the source material in an old traditional by Quim Manuel O Espirito Santo. Port's edit of "Eme Lelu" seeks to update the original in some of the rhythmic patterns and create a whole new dramaturgic, floor tweaked build up, yet he leaves the original's cheer- and playful nature untouched. Cheers to Analog Africa for providing the original composition.
