Fresh off touring and traveling continents in the past several months, she says of the release, “This song is a different sound from the usual Habida sound because I have grown as a woman, wife and mother,” adding, "I wrote SWEET LOVE while I was homesick and missing all the little things that make Kenya unique like Swahili Food - I had missed Kaimati, Mahamri and Pilau, " concluding that home is where her heart and roots reside.

Life is all we really have and we need to preserve it, we loose lives on roads daily because of several factors ....but we wont get into that as this is about positive rienforcement!

Life comes with ups and downs, Lefts and rights, and the Unexpected ......If we are in tune with God and we stay in His word and follow his direction His ways are higher, his ways are perfect even if they don’t look like we think they should, I believe they are the only way to go.

Habida starts off 2018 with a bang! Releasing her new single “Searching”. After spending 2017 planning, recording, and rebranding, she has decided to start off the year in an unapologetic way. Searching is the first part of a trilogy “The Journey to I AM”.
“I AM” for Habida is about being your true self. Being comfortable with your enjoying your journey, mistakes, failings, and embracing your successes. Habida's narrative says she has done it for the music industry, her fans and everyone else, but this time she does for the fulfillment of her purpose and her true self, in essence allowing her fans into the real her! 
Habida has a new sound! Which she has been looking for since the beginning. Qura Mark Rankin and Habida worked tirelessly on the I AM-EP AND MORE! Between L.A and Nairobi, flying back and forth. Qura started off Habidas career in 1998 when she was 17 years old and now as life would have it, we have gone full circle and worked together again after all these years to produce Magic!
