Following a well received string of releases on ‘Analogical Force’, ‘Furthur Electronix’ and ‘Feel My Bicep’ James Shinra makes his debut release on 20/20 Vision. Shinra displays his musical dexterity and diverse influences across this 4 track EP delving deeper into the realms of electro and techno 

’Route 909’ serves up emotive melodies rooted down with a heavy kick before working the keys hard to maximum effect. ‘Flyby’ is a beautiful moment of electronic bliss reminiscent of the great Aphex Twin, while the acid soaked ’1111’ is a certified dance floor bomb. Shinra isn’t adverse to switching tempos and beats and can also deliver flawless techno. The cleverly structured and melodically complex ‘On & On’ rounds up the wax with a track that makes you want to drift away on the dance-floor, prepare to be transported to a future world where machines have emotions.

Today, Magnetic brings you an exclusive premiere from South London artist Jude Woodhead, a classically trained producer who’s far-reaching musical influences range from Floating Points to Paul Simon, Jeff Buckley to the Congolese and South African records that his dad has collected over the years. Also making music as Saint Jude, the South Londoner released his self-titled debut EP last year, a triumphant blend of rolling ambient pop music and off-kilter indie tunes in which he drew comparisons to Four Tet and Joy Orbison. 

Traces is an ethereal electronic record with bits of influence from house, garage, and cinematic electronica soundscapes. The snappy percussion, sweeping atmosphere, and lush chords paint a vivid and emotional picture right from the start. Traces also has an accompanying music video to round things off. Traces will be available on October 16th.

If there's one thing we could all do with around now, it's a 90s inspired funk track, and we're happy to announce that our latest premiere is exactly that. 

Benbo, and long time collaborator Michelle Bee are one of those duos whose quirky nature, and love for music comes through in every note.

‘Room In A Box’ was recently released on Nov 20, complete with a Hannah Holland remix, a shiny new radio re-version and a loose-limbed, live funk track, original version, which we premiere today.

SNC Recs are no strangers to suprises. With the label's fourth release CHRONIC DURATIONS EP you’ll want to fasten your seatbelts. Nicolas Epe aka The Duty freedom, a Cologne based musician and artist, is ready to step into the spotlight, with the debut of his latest Alter Ego.

On CHRONIC DURATIONS he takes the audience on a dramatic, emotional journey into the world of Intelligent Drum and Bass music. The sound is familiar, yet new and timeless, it’s stuck in the 90s while showcasing the future. Slow melodies carry you through the tracks and are broken by fast kicks and glitchy sounds. The EP can be understood as a hybrid of sound and video art. To further lose yourself in the work, The Duty Freedom has created a series of dreamlike glitch video pieces that can be enjoyed alongside the sounds and help to unterstand the artist's full intentions.
