American 60's Garage band music (the original garage guitar band stuff, literally played in garages the perfect cheap rehearsal room provided the neighbours don't care), this one written by The Sparkles is the antithesis of the Summer of Love has stayed with me from first hearing it ... so did the decent thing and covered it! There are compilations of this genre on albums called Nuggets, well worth an hour or two.
