New edit out! A cherished  first collaboration between myself and my zouk padawan and good friend Vrøge. On top of our regular zouk discussions, we've also shared many special moments on the dancefloor together, so an edit together has been on the horizon for a while now!

This one is a gorgeous, bumpy 90s digi-zouk floorfiller with gorgeous horns, sultry vocals and a hefty low end. Self released in 1991, 'Zouk +' was sadly only album put out by Georges Pronzola (aka Gustamberg), would have loved to hear more of his beautiful music!

When planning a visit to the Netherlands I sent over the track with the idea of creating the edit together in person. Mesmerised by the track Youri quickly agreed to the idea, after which we of course completely forget about the whole thing and I flew home 😂. 

However, eventually we remembered and had a blast collaborating online to create the edit! After a few iterations we feel it's finally ready to share, and were delighted to early support from Hunee a few weeks ago! Hope you enjoy :)

’Tis the season of uploading old mixes to my Soundcloud (as many people don‘t use or know Mixcloud) and today's choice will bring a festive mood to your christmas playlist. It's my "3rd Advent 3h Xmas Megamix" - here's what I wrote in 2020:

Happy 3rd advent! As I always wanted to do/have this on my own: Here’s a whopping 3h advent-goodie-mix of my favorite Christmas and Christmas-related records/files I collected over the last twelve years (with a little of help from my friends). One could say it’s my most definite Christmas mixtape so far :)
I tried to keep the selection a little off the old beaten paths and genre-wise as wide as possible but no worries: still got a lot of classics, surprises and cheese in there. Feel more than free to incorporate this in your own festive playlists for driving home, getting into the Christmas spirit one week before, torturing your body with good food, you name it. First 45 minutes = compatible for you dinner at the in-laws; rest = to be determined.

Disclaimer: Expect some serious cheesy music! Strictly “No chinstroke zone”!

HADE is a DJ and producer based in Cologne, Germany. Besides releasing footwork-inspired records as HADE + DWFL, and house, wave and disco mutations under his own name, HADE has played clubs and festival stages across Europe and the US alongside the likes of Hunee, Palms Trax, Jan Schulte, Phuong-Dan, Beesmunt Soundsystem, Elena Colombi and many more.

HADE also co-runs two club nights at Cologne’s Gewölbe, TIME TO: and Palms. In the past years, he helped launch Local Talk’s new sub-label Tune with the “Freek Tool” under his Theo Walbeck moniker, linked-up with Brooklyn’s Razor-N-Tape crew and released an EP of all-German edits on Berlin’s OYE Records. Most recently he started his show „Finds w/ Fiends“ with fellow selector Owns at Düsseldorf‘s Callshop Radio.

As a DJ and collector, HADE is fueled by a real passion for digging up German synth oddities, all things wave, dub and disco, under-the-radar raps, trancey wrong-speeders and Afro-Caribbean curveballs
