Cất Giữ Cứ Để Anh

Một buổi tối thật khó khăn.
Lòng phập phồng, tim rất nhanh.
Một cơn nóng từ ngoài phố
xông vào trong nhà.
Một cơn nóng từ trong đã
sôi sục trào ra.

Tưởng giờ đây đã lớn khôn,
Đã học xong, đã hết môn.
Vậy mà vẫn vật nhau với những gì không cần.
Đã cố gắng mà sao vẫn xông vào xả thân?

Ơ em ơi, thở vào, thở ra.
Em bên ta, ở lại bên ta.
Xem kìa, cỏ dưới chân đang mềm,
và mặt đất này thật êm.

I wrote this song to myself on my 24th birthday. It was sort of a quarter-life-crisis inspired meditation on aging and achievement. It’s quiet, reflective, and makes for a perfect anti-summer single.
