Dernier Podcast de l'année, et pas des moindres ! Nous sommes très heureux d'accueillir Saku Sahara, DJ déjà emblématique de la scène Lyonnaise. Influencée par la scène Japonaise et sa culture dans son ensemble, Saku Sahara apporte à ses sets électro une teinte personnelle que l'on saura apprécier pour ce podcast de fin d'année.

- T'es qui meuf ?
Hi moi c’est Saku Sahara ღゝ◡╹)ノ♡
Dj Lyonnaise passionnée par la culture japonaise et la musique électronique, particulièrement réceptive à la Bass Music.

- Des projets en cours ? 
Les projets en cours sont, malheureusement pour la plupart, des projets qui ont été reportés à cause de vous savez quoi.. Mais pour partager un secret, j’avoue secrètement produire de la musique dans mon coin.
Également, j'aimerai encore plus appuyer l’aspect graphique de mon univers musical. Étant graphiste/illustratrice de métier, j’ai un peu délaissé cette partie de ma vie pour me concentrer davantage sur la musique mais j’aimerais dorénavant retrouver un équilibre entre les deux. L’aspect esthétique dans la musique a toujours été quelque chose d’important pour moi.

- Quelles sont tes influences locales ? 
 Les influences dans la région qui m'inspirent sont des crews comme Polaar, Demo Collective ou encore Shoganai. C’est dur de ne parler que de la région quand il y a de la qualité et des connexions dans la France entière. J’ai envie de faire un clin d'œil tout particulier à deux crews de meufs que j’affectionne particulièrement qui sont Girls Don’t Cry (Toulouse) et Zone Rouge (Nantes)

- Comment vois-tu l'événementiel et la culture clubing après l'épisode pandémique actuel ?
Je pense qu’il va falloir un temps de réadaptation. Personnellement je me sens fatiguée par cette situation. Mais je suis persuadée que lorsque la machine sera remise en route, on fera la fête encore plus qu’avant.
Pour essayer de tirer un peu de positif de tout cela, je dirais que cette période m’a aussi permis de plus me concentrer sur mon bien-être, sur ce que je ressentais et ce que je veux vraiment.

Inner Circle are proud to present our new project CIRCLECAST. 

CIRCLECAST is a series of recordings from friends, artists, DJs, and performers from our surrounding community, intended to inspire connection and memories for the raves that we were able to host and attend regularly before this year. Our plan is to have a mix series, guest interviews, livestreams, and more.  

For our first instalment to welcome in the 2021 new year, we bring you this slammin' techno journey from Montreal DJ-producer s.talbot (@d_nrgy).

Like our live events, which seek to represent the diversity happening in today's underground dance music, our mix series is separated by the names of the events we would host pre-covid, with different genres and styles represented in each one. This mix falls under RIFT, our more techno / industrial-focused offering.

𝗛𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗮 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿, 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗯𝘂𝗺𝘀, 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀-𝘁𝘂 ?

J’ai eu la chance de découvrir la techno et l’ambient au cours de raves – ce qui m’a vraiment inculqué que les deux styles, ambient et techno, existent sur 2 faces distinctes d’une même dimension. L’intensité de leurs énergies sont extrêmement rapprochées, et partagent des destinations semblables, pour moi. 

Dans ce sens, je suis extrêmement attiré par la discographie de zoviet-france, groupe proto- ambient des années 80/90. Une musique faite maison, non-linéaire, qui représente l’expérience d’un moment - difficilement descriptible.

Most of the dance tracks I play, I have listened to over and over again alone - which often has the effect of transporting my mind to a strobe flashing, time deprived space of uninterrupted dance. And when I get that feeling, it’s usually a good sign that it’s the kind of track I’ll want to share. This feeling usually revolves around perceptions of freedom and connection with the people around me.

𝗗é𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘀-𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗝 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝘂 𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗰é𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼 𝗱'𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗱é𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼𝗶.

Je pense que la disposition idéale se situe dans le retrait de la présence visuelle de la personne performante (sauf si cette présence est artistiquement requise). Un arrangement qui permet une meilleure concentration (ou une absence de déconcentration) relative à la source physique du son. Ça, je pense, c’est une manière de tirer le maximum de l’expérience. Je le perçois d’une manière similaire à éteindre un écran pour écouter une production. En enlevant le support visuel, on active des capacités auditives sur lesquelles on ne peut pas se concentrer lorsque nos yeux sont occupés à surveiller la source superficielle du son. Sans cette déconcentration, l’esprit est plus libre pour comprendre, cerner, aller plus loin dans ce qui est audible. On se perd moins dans des détails qui ne comptent pas, ultimement.
