This song was created in a ritual trance on the Winter Solstice of 2020 when Saturn and Jupiter formed the Great Conjunction. It is a Saturnalian hymn to the heavy and sometimes depressive energies of Midwinter. Deliberately dissonant and disconcerting, it mimics the feeling of when you are relaxed and almost asleep but random sounds keep jolting you awake. The haunting sensation of glimpsing the Wild Hunt in the corner of your eye on your way home from work on an eerie Winter night.

I turned an old poem I wrote in 2015 into an Anglican-style pagan hymn. As soon as I recorded the first vocals a giant thunderstorm started, perhaps summoned by my song...so I decided to mix the track with a recording of the storm I accidentally summoned!
