Haikal & The Side City formatted on march 2011 by three young man who has a strong passion in music, especially in blues music, there are Haikal as Vocal and Guitarist, Angga as Bassist and Backing Vocal, and Ardy as Drummer. This band named Haikal & The Side City because Haikal is our frontman in this band who lead our music to the sense of soul and Side City means the place that we born and we live, the place that we spent our life since early childhood, its East Jakarta.
Haikal & The Side City became more known after our first performance at Gunadarma University, “Save Our Culture” on March, 2011 . We play music of blues according to what we feel as our influences such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Matt Schofield, John Mayer,  B.B King, Albert King, Gary Moore, Eric Clapton, The Beatles, Robben Ford, The Cream, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Jimi hendrix and many more.
