Hail! Cassius Neptune is an eclipse of three different worlds.  From a land of abstract musical meditation and exploration, where magic is a real thing, comes Wilson Stern.  His idiosyncratic stylings on drop-tuned guitar and an army of synthesized sounds provide the harmonic framework for the music and the aesthetic setting for the experience.  Kylie Jo Stern comes from a place of rigor and meticulous creation and re-creation; the world of American popular vocal styles.  Combining techniques from early 20th-century vocal jazz all the way to the new generation’s neo-soul and hip-hop, Kylie will make you fall in love with the microphone the way she loves it.  Benny Cannon’s home at the intersection of big band jazz and hot funk completes the pedigree of this power-house trio.  It’s his ambitious and energetic approach to rhythm that gives this outfit its sense of danger and heavy experimentation.
 
 
      Formed in late 2013, Hail! Cassius Neptune set down a goal of bringing their unique brand of jazzy, experimental rock n’ roll to a mainstream audience.  Completing their first EP in 2014 and performing at festivals in Northern Florida, the band has established a precedent of fast growth on their creative mission and in their expansion to reach new audiences.  The group is scheduled to begin their first full-length album in October 2014.
 
 
      The new album will feature a level of sonic and structural risk-taking far beyond that of their existing work.  Heavily featuring electronic sounds, vocal effects, and compositions bordering on the avant-garde but always bringing you back safely to the chorus.  The new album will have you asking “Where is that Cat?”
