Hailey, It Happens is Boston electronic/pop duo Bob DiBari and Chris Cleary. The duo have been making music together since they were 14 and growing up in Saugus, MA. They released their debut EP, Everything For You in 2009. Aurora followed in 2011.

The two bring an earnest approach to the electronic scene, putting as much emphasis on songwriting as programming. With Bobby’s intricate structures of piano, keyboards and programming, Chris’s layers of upbeat vocals and the pair’s heartfelt lyrics, Hailey It Happens bring emotion and sincerity into electronic pop.

Their third release, Under The Brilliant Lights, adds six more songs to their catalog but also shows the duo coming into their own. The production sounds crisper, the melodies are more indelible, the lyrics hit harder, and Cleary simultaneously sounds smoother, more confident, and more emotional than he has on past records.  It’s a heavy record, filled to the brim with stories of young love, bruised dreams, and broken hearts. But with the gentle sonic swirl of DiBari’s keyboards and the heartfelt honesty of Cleary’s delivery, these stories are worth listening to.
