On Saturday, December 14th 2013 at 11.30am, The Celtic Graves Society held a ceremony to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the passing of former Celtic player Peter Scarff at Kilbarchan Cemetery. Despite the extremely poor weather, a large turnout gathered.

Guest speakers at the event included:
- Peter Lawwell, Celtic Football Club's Chief Executive;
- Jim Craig, Lisbon Lion and Celtic Graves Society Patron;
- Willie Scarff, Peter's great-nephew;
- Ann McElhinney, Secretary of the Peter Scarff Linwood CSC
- David Potter, Celtic historian.

The blessing was conducted by Father Andrew Coleman from St Conval's, Linwood.
