Deep Seahorse Podcast presents: Monika Ross!
Born and raised in the southern hemisphere, Monika found her love for music in her hometown of Sydney. Monika is an artist who constantly raises her head above the barrier. This radio host, producer and DJ built her grounding in Sydney before immersing herself in Europe’s well nurtured house and techno scene. Monika embraced the allure of the smaller clubbing culture in Australia, which led to her first gig in 2005. With great feedback the path paved its way to her days as a host on FBI radio in 2006. With new guests and keen listeners week-in-week-out Monika was finding her feet and becoming fast recognised as a serious DJ.
The dance floor hasn’t been the only outlet for Monika: working as a sound mixer for the BBC London as well as releasing with labels such as Serialism, Metroline Limited, Entity London, Organic Art Movement and FA>IE make up Monika’s accomplished musical background. Her ability to stimulate a crowd, push the boundaries and her enviable record collection make Miss Ross a much sought­after artist. Definitely one to watch for 2017.

'Dreams' is our second release, which has been produced by Allatura - the brainchild of Casey Spillman, Max Casebolt & Harry Raynor. Since forming in 2016, they have graced the decks of various party’s throughout London and released their debut EP earlier this year on Disco Kicks.

The title track 'Dreams' offers swing and funk on top of some 90's sounding synths. Housey percussion and dreamy atmospheres mould the tracks 'Smokin' Sessions' & 'Stoker'.
