Malte-S is a resident of Dresdens club objekt klein a which is not only a home base for electronic music lovers, but also hosts dance performances, theater and political panels in order to offer a different perspective and hope in a conservative city like Dresden. His musical journey began 2012 with the Floppy collective and soon Plastic House crew, known for intimate vinyl only basement nights with a focus on the classic house and disco sound. Nowadays he switches the discogs filters more towards techno, progressive house and (psy-)trance from the 90s and 00s, aiming to create diverse sets with an organic, dubby, funky or trippy feel.

As part of the publishing strand ‘Sonic Commons’ L’Internationale Online invited house DJ collective Materia Hache, part of the collective, Others to the Front, to publish and introduce a mix tape, Others to the Front. The invitation arose out of a session in Madrid in September 2023. The music and the tape’s evocative introduction mobilize the rolling rhythms of house music – and the sonic more broadly – as a space for expression, strength and community building.
