Hardware Hustlerz - Stack It Up EP

013 materializes as a long player titled Spectrum Prints on Machining Dreams by myself. A single 12″ with seven compositions; 3 ambient and 4 proper tunes that dig deep into one’s psyche with emotive sounds and highly rhythmic syncopation. Recorded with mostly analog gear, so the warmth is present as the sound pallette is completely full of life. In this project i try to cover a full spectrum of waveforms that are printed on vinyl, hence the name Spectrum Prints.

Spectrum Prints

After a brief hiatus, Synapsis Records returns triumphantly with a captivating 12" release by Iranian artist Siamak Amidi, accompanied by reinterpretations from hm505. Synapsis-019, titled "Crack A Love Ball," showcases two original tracks from Amidi on the A side, while the B side features two mesmerizing reinterpretations by hm505.

Amidi's compositions, "Crack A Love Ball" and "Mess with You," are masterfully minimalistic and subtly intricate, filling the soundscape with rich percussion and immersive sound design. In contrast, hm505's reinterpretations infuse the tracks with lush melodies and harmonies, prominently featuring arpeggiations that evoke deep emotional responses from the listener.

Lyon, France, the city of lights materializes 016. Slowmotion is born from a collaboration between myself and Vince Noog. Noog has been rocking more on the Techno tip over the years with releases on his label, but when the collaboration took place beat down feels appeared; causing some house jams to develop. The EP is called Beats from Lugdunum, but why? Lugdunum is the old school name for Lyon and the surrounding areas, and these tunes were conceptualized, composed, and beated right there.

Hakim Murphy and Daniela La Luz join forces for the Rawax label. Four tracks that represent the little Volca analog synthesizers hence the Volcarized EP. Two tracks from the collaboration and one from each of artist that funk and explore what can be done with the little boxes. Crunchy analog sounds ring from the speakers causing some sudden body moments. Acid to Techno to abstract but still House.

Hakim Murphy & Daniela La Luz - Volcarized EP

Aqua Breathing bounces and wiggles through the speakers captured by one’s ear drums. Slow and fast-motion is the spectrum of fluid arrangements compacted in this three track release. Magda’s version of 5th Meter comes with the break-beat, techno tip. That is the fraternal twin of the original that strikes the floor hard. The original emotes the lush pads with a hypnotic kick, that hits with subtle straight energy. Hard choppy waters come with CV-20, the acid lines comes to life and metastasises with the atmosphere of a wormhole.

Aqua Breathing snippets

Machine funk all day, as the label welcome’s Jamal Moss aka Heiroglyphic Being to the fold. Man Joe (a phrase that people from Chicago will know off top) is a homage to the banging side of the Chicago sound, fusing Moss’s avant garde waveforms with Murphy’s idiosyncratic take on Dance Mania records. Out the box Moss’s remix of Beat Pit has crunchy mastering, unexpected drum program, and multi-time signature synth melodies that are the personification of musical liberty. Meanwhile Murphy’s original version looks forward while looking backward with its subtle drum programming and synth arrangements that helped to define footwork dancing in Chicago. The acid lines dance around each other just to introduce the chords towards the end of the tune. Following suit is Classic Beat with its uptempo groove and modulating bassline parades around as Murphy sprinkles sparse vocal drops rounding off the release. Shout out to the dancers out there.

Man Joe snippets

Playfulness is a great adjective for this release as the title Fa Dem Goofy's suggests. Jovial yet banging tunes are located in this package that will serve up dance floors and home systems alike. Tyree Cooper's remix of Muvido extracts the bassline and adds the disco percussion, trying to take it back to the Bismarck days. Suddenly after all this tension is built smooth harmonies frolic from the speakers. Murphy's original is raw and banging, percussion focused for much of the runtime, but then turns emotive with lush chords over the syncopation. Made while waiting an airport, Landing Acid's percussion sets the mood while two acid lines call and respond to each other in a good humoured-way.

Fa Dem Goofy's snippets

Towel Coat traces a line from the raw to the cosmic. The three cuts: Friedrichshain Acid (Chicago Skyway Remix), Friedrichshain Acid, and Cosmos shift between function and feeling, built for the floor, but just as alive in stillness. The Chicago Skyway remix opens in shadow and weight, a thicker vision, stretched and reframed. Murphy’s original answers with reduction: 303 and 909, stripped to pulse and intent. Then Cosmos expands outward, synths in motion, an acid line that plays, bends, and drifts beyond gravity. Like the towel coats that moved through Chicago in the 90s, some plain, some intricate, these tracks carry their own forms of utility and expression.

All of it, unmistakably, acid house.

Towel Coat Snippets

Call the Ambulamb by Hakim Murphy, featuring the Roberto Ingram Head Nod remix, speaks in the language of the dance floor, where slang bends meaning and rhythm becomes dialect.

Across the release, each track carries its own accent that represents its own phrasing of house. These are not just variations in sound, but shifts in tone, like regional speech translated through drum machines and circuitry.

Ingram’s remix moves with intention, rearranged like a diagram, precise yet alive, where each element lands with a measured nod. Murphy’s original Amotion drifts at first, synths circling, suspended, before percussion gathers and lifts the track into a slow, inevitable swell. Openess follows with release, two counterpoint melodies unfolding against the bassline, stretching the space between tension and ease.

Like slang passed between voices, reshaped but understood, these tracks speak a shared language. House music as dialect, fluid, expressive, rooted yet always evolving.

Eloquent Symbiosis, a three-track release built on the meeting point between feeling, rhythm, and atmosphere.

The record opens with DCook’s remix of “Bo Karidoda,” a deep reinterpretation that blurs warm, driving house with hypnotic Detroit-leaning techno. Ethereal ambient traces move through a raw, tribal beatdown, creating a rhythm-focused piece made for collective dancefloor meditation. Heavy drums, shifting textures, and a physical pulse guide the listener into a space where movement becomes reflection.

The original version of “Bo Karidoda” follows with a more playful energy. Melodic phrases rise and repeat with a bright, uplifting character, giving the track a sense of motion and lightness while still staying rooted in the groove.

Closing the release, “Poignant Fervor” turns inward. Soft emotive melodies, spacious panning drums, and subtle rhythmic details create a final moment that feels intimate and direct, speaking to the soul while gently expanding the emotional range of the record.

Together, the three pieces form a quiet conversation between the body and the mind, the dancefloor and the inner world. Eloquent Symbiosis captures that balance: different moods, different movements, one cohesive release.

hm505 - Tone Poems

First transmitted in 2009, *Black Robots Having Sex* returns not as a reissue, but as a mutation. The original record carried three machine-born visions into the world, including Morgan Geist’s remix of “Jupiter Poop.” Years later, Christopher Rau reached back into the circuitry with a desire to reshape “Nikki Muscles,” and from that spark a new remix constellation began to form.

Rau’s “This Is Reality Remix” bends “Nikki Muscles” away from its acid house origin and lets it bloom into something warmer, groovier, and sun-struck. A rolling bassline pulls the track toward the open air, turning its mechanical bones into a summer festival pulse.

Myles Sergé enters the chamber with his BK Bathroom Remix of “Black Robots Having Sex,” carving out a relentless techno pressure system. The drums pump with hard devotion, the rhythm grinds forward, and even the chords struggle to soften the impact.

Murphy closes the triangle with a hm505 remix of Myles’ sketch, refusing the simple act of re-release. Instead, he disassembles, re-freaks, and repositions the drums, keeping the spirit alive while shifting the body into a new form.

Across house, techno, and leftfield machine music, *Black Robots Having Sex Remixes* moves like a strange memory rebuilt in real time. Familiar parts flicker. New shapes emerge. The robots keep changing positions.

Always keep them guessing.

Four tunes called 4D Mind Sculpting comprise this 12” that fill up the frequency spectrum with its acid lines, chord progressions, and arpeggiation lines. Four dimensions do not exist in our reality but if one could imagine the extra dimensional sense, then these four compositions are what I imagine.

4D Mind Sculpting

Number 018 is a collaboration between Christopher Rau & Hakim Murphy. During the many times that they have met, the topic of politics always came up in conversation. With all the problems in the world, the title of the 12” was formed: Geopolitical Problems Yet to be Solved. This four track EP symbolizes the differences of the world culture’s with its diverse track selection. Liquid synths, bouncing percussion, and variety of feels really describe this project. The problems of the world will never be solved but this is their take on what the problems sound like.

hm505 - Analog Scriptures

Innerspace Halflife continues its space theme by creating tunes that bend the definition of acid house. This presentation comes in the form of a 12″ EP titled “1000 Light Years of Acid” on Skudge White. Sounds are sometimes electro but very tough and even though the acid line may not be a classic tb-303 but still holds the same sway and feeling. The evolution of acid is what we are trying to represent here.
