"Who was playing at 5am in the chill-out room?" was something we heard repeatedly after the Cityfox-Life and Death showcase this past Halloween. Well, it was none other than Maxi Storrs. Already on our short list of artists we sought to feature, his set that morning as a guest sealed the deal to host him more formally. While he resides in Istanbul, as a founding member and resident of Suma Beach, he's a man of the world, having spent significant time shaping his art in the underground of San Francisco, founding Dusty Eardrums in Goa & Thailand, with residences in Berlin, and inspired by the nature of beautiful Vermont. And it's a varied perspective that comes through in his music, as rich as his travels: lush, warm and inviting, demonstrated through this set. We can't wait for him to soundtrack the dawn of a new year in our River Room.

"Surf your eyes" eludes to dreamy pads & a Bass-line tied to those morning after-hours, when dancers are purely relying on the groove's persistence into the sunrise, in order to soak the sun & go directly surfing.

"Red Flip" The switch to wake up into full euphoria, but with a nostalgic romantic melancholy, driving lucid textures & a stunning melodic journey from the beginning to the end while emphasising the signature Low frequencies to uplift the dance.

"Back to it" The deepest track in the Ep, pure ear candy for deep house lovers, & a full satiating meal for the lovers of Sam's signature sound.

"Trip to Zanzibar" Closing B side, calmly wrapping up the album, through jazzy minimalistic pads, & the state of art simplicity of percussive elements.

What’s Up Desert Hearts Family! 

Oh man do we have a treat for you! Last year @Andreas-Henneberg was supposed to play as one half of The Glitz, but a last minute flu knocked him on his ass and he wasn’t able to make it to the festival. We’re pretty sure he started working on this Desert Hearts set during that same weekend because from the very first track he comes out swinging for the fences with the craziest intro we’ve ever heard. 

With arguably one of the most talked about sets from our 2018 festival, the word that best describes this set from Andreas is flawless. You can tell it was premeditated with Desert Hearts specifically in mind and it pretty much left us all with our faces melted off. Damn it’s good to hear this again!

Haldar is the DJ alias of San Francisco-based artist and event producer Nick Haldar, known for his dynamic fusion of house and techno. His sets are defined by groovy basslines, layered percussion, and rich melodic textures, creating an immersive dance floor experience. He has a regular presence at premier San Francisco venues such as 1015 Folsom, Public Works, and Madarae, where he has shared the stage with artists including Jungle, Booka Shade, Danny Tenaglia, Einmusik, Öona Dahl, Joeski, Laolu, Tim Engelhardt, Nico Morano, and Sounds of Rituals.

Beyond the booth, Nick is the founder of Tunes and Wibes, a 500+ member music community known for its curated, high-energy events. He also co founded Beats & Brews, a monthly daytime rave series hosted in collaboration with 415 Coffee Club, bringing dance music into unique daytime spaces across the city.
